  • Patent number: 8925015
Abstract: Systems and methods of determining viewership information are provided. A method of determining viewership information includes determining viewership information from multicast routing table data associated with one or more edge routers of a media content delivery service. Each edge router of the one or more edge routers is adapted to transmit media content streams to multiple devices via a first network. The method also includes sending data related to the viewership information to a requesting device via a second network.

  • Patent number: 8744243
Abstract: A method of storing video content is disclosed and includes storing video content associated with a video content selection at a personal video recording (PVR) device. The method also includes associating an indicator of the video content selection with a file folder at the PVR device. Further, the method includes sending a graphical user interface (GUI) from the PVR device to a display device in response to receiving a selection of the file folder at the PVR device, wherein the GUI includes the indicator of the video content selection and wherein the indicator of the video content selection is marked as viewed or unviewed.

  • Publication number: 20140037884
Abstract: An automated system for personalizing containers with artistic arrangements, such as flowers, provides a customer with the ability to personalize a custom decoration for the container. Specifically, the customer can select a design and include personal images and greetings. In particular, the personalized decoration can be built by layering user selected images and text on a virtual canvas. An automated system can assist the customer by coordinating colors between the personalized decoration and the arrangement to yield a visually appealing package. The resulting personalized content can be printed on a water-resistant film for insertion within a clear vase.

  • Publication number: 20120285843
Abstract: There is described a bottle for containing liquid beverages. The bottle has a body, a bottle closure which engages the body, and one or more storage compartments. The storage compartments are for containing a powder or other ingredient for mixing with or dissolving in the liquid beverage. The contents of the storage compartments may be released independently. Thus several types and/or amounts of a powder and/or other ingredient can be stored in one bottle, allowing a user to prepare a particular type and/or amount of a particular beverage at a particular point in a training or exercise program.

  • Patent number: 6574933
Abstract: The joint thereshown has two stainless steel side plates (21, 22) which are rolled from a single strip and are bent double at the bottom of the lower limb (23) of the Y. The plates have rolled in ridges (24) at the top of this limb (23) and diverge above the ridges (24) as upper Y limbs (26). Between the limbs (26) a core is captivated at a relatively hard, necked lower core-portion or rib (31) by the ridges (24). Above these, a relatively softer upper core-portion or strip (32) fills the space between the upper limbs (26), tapering out with them. The core is a co-extrusion of the two portions (31, 32) joined by a neck (33). It is held in place by the ridges (24) being rolled around lower portion (31). This joint is fitted between tiles at a gap of the width of the ridges (24), by driving it between the tiles to compress the divergent upper Y limbs (26).

  • Patent number: 5904439
Abstract: A field limitation joint has a core (101) of closed cell synthetic elastomer and aluminum L-section side members (102). The core is adhered to the side members by double sided adhesive strip (103) of the type having reinforcing filaments (104) running along the length of the strip. The core is pre-compressed and held in compression by tapes (105, 106). These are fabric reinforced and incorporate a central strip (107) of polymer film rendering them non-adhesive along their center. Also they have perforations (108, 109) along their length at the edge of the strip (107). The adhesive edges (110) of the tape (105) are adhered to the outside of upright limbs (111) of the side members and pass over the top of the side members. The perforations (108) run along the top edge of the side members. The other tape (106) extends between the other limbs (112) of the side members on their undersides, again with the non-adhesive strip preventing adhesion to the core (101).

  • Patent number: 5648740
Abstract: A switching arrangement for establishing a signal path between any one of a plurality of first ports and a common port and for varying the attenuation of at least one of the ports comprises in the signal path of each attenuatable port a first switching element and attenuating circuitry connectable by further switching circuitry across the first switching element, the first switching element constituting the sole series element in that path. The attenuating circuitry comprises a resistive network and the further switching circuitry comprises second switching elements connected to respective ends of the first switching element and to respective points of the resistive network for introducing one of a number of resistive states into the signal path.

  • Patent number: 5282339
Abstract: An aircraft servicing pit located beneath a surface across which aircraft travel while on the ground is provided with a ladder and a pair of reciprocally retractable handrails on each side of the ladder. Each of the handrails has an inverted "J-shaped" configuration. With the lid open the handrails can be drawn up out of the pit and rotated so that their legs can rest upon the tarmac surface at the edge of the pit. Service personnel utilizing the pit are thereby provided with stabilizing hand grips which enhance their safety when entering and leaving the subsurface chamber within the pit. When the pit is to be closed the retractable handrails are lifted, rotated, and lowered to their fully retracted storage positions.
