Abstract: In a proximity-based water valve system having a housing and a proximity sensor, a sensor cover includes a planar main body formed of a translucent and/or opaque material, and an extension handle connected to the main body, which can be adhered to the housing and/or proximity sensor via an adhesive area on a rear side of the main body, such that the main body covers the proximity sensor with the extension handle being angled away from the proximity sensor.
