  • Publication number: 20230110739
Abstract: Methods for forming particulates that are highly consistent with regard to shape, size, and content are described. Particulates are suitable for use as reference materials. Methods can incorporate actinides and/or lanthanides, e.g., uranium, and can be used for forming certified reference materials for use in the nuclear industry. Methods include formation of an aerosol from an oxalate salt solution, in-line diagnostics, and collection of particles of the aerosol either in a liquid impinger or on a solid surface.

  • Publication number: 20180276576
Abstract: Methods and systems may be used to allow a first customer to book an appointment. A second customer may view the appointment and initiate a request to swap for the reserved appointment. The first customer may accept or reject the offer. If the offer is accepted, the appointment may be transferred from the first customer to the second customer. A computer application may facilitate the transfer of payment from the second customer to any or all of: the customer holding the appointment, the service provider for whom the appointment was made, and the provider of the computer application.

  • Patent number: 9465981
Abstract: Computer based systems, methods, and computer readable media for sensing and decoding a sequence of facial expression exhibited by an individual sender, in order to determine a message encoded by that sequence of the individual. Digital image sensor devices may capture facial images of a sending individual. An enrollment processes is used by which an enrolled message is associated with a sequence of facial expressions. A background model is used with relevant expression models to locate a region of interest of the individual's face, which models accommodate the stand-off placement of the image sensors relative to the individual. An expression identifier is used with the expression model to classify captured images as including an enrolled facial expression. The classified images may then be decoded to identify the message sent.
