  • Publication number: 20230062356
Abstract: An endoscopic clip apparatus includes a clip sleeve defining an interior passage along a longitudinal axis and having a distal end with a plurality of openings defined in the distal end. A clip including a plurality of arms is disposed in the clip sleeve, and each arm includes a distal tip extending from the clip sleeve through one of the plurality of openings. Each arm includes a convex curved section oriented away from the longitudinal axis. The clip sleeve and clip are axially moveable relative to each other such that when the clip sleeve travels over the convex curved section of each arm toward the distal tip of each arm, each arm is constrained by the clip sleeve and each distal tip advances toward the longitudinal axis to grasp tissue.

  • Publication number: 20150206089
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure provides an estimate of incentive compensation for opportunities in a sales performance management system (SPMS). In an embodiment, the SPMS computes incentive compensation for sales representatives based on completed transactions, and then formulates polynomials modeling the computed incentive compensation for each sales representative. The SPMS thereafter estimates incentive compensation for various opportunities based on the formulated polynomials. According to another aspect of the present disclosure, the SPMS is designed to compute the incentive compensation (for actual completed transactions) in batch-mode, while the sales representatives may interactively obtain estimates of incentive compensation for opportunities in real-time.

  • Publication number: 20050067723
Abstract: A humidifier has a first sealable reservoir feeding water to a second reservoir communicating with ambient atmosphere. A blower is adapted to blow a stream of air through the humidifier to ambient atmosphere, such that the stream of air picks up water vapor from any water that may be in the second reservoir. A feeder valve feeds a quickly-evaporable quantity of water from the first reservoir into the second reservoir. The quickly-evaporable quantity of water in the second reservoir is substantially smaller than the water capacity of the first reservoir. A dry-out mechanism shuts off the feeder valve upon a user command and continues to run the blower at least until the quickly-evaporable quantity of water has evaporated to an extent effective in inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in the microorganism-vulnerable reservoir.
