Publication number: 20240070616Abstract: A method for integrated professional network expansion during employee onboarding is implemented via a computing system including a processor. The method includes executing, via a network, an enterprise application on a first remote computing system operated by an employer associated with an enterprise, as well as causing surfacing of a professional networking UI on a display of the first remote computing system during the execution of the enterprise application. The method also includes receiving, via the professional networking UI surfaced on the display of the first remote computing system, user input including a specification of onboarding parameters for an employee of the enterprise, where the onboarding parameters correspond to one or more professional networking intentions for the employee. Publication number: 20220305242Abstract: A dilator device including an elongated flexible material sleeve having a hollow interior extending along a distal portion and a proximal portion thereof. An expandable or inflatable bladder is connected to the distal portion and disposable radially outward from an exterior of the sleeve when in an expanded and/or inflated orientation. The elongated sleeve comprising a tip having a predetermined configuration that facilitates positioning the elongated sleeve within an intended body part. A fluid input is structured for removable connection to a fluid source and is disposed on the sleeve, in fluid communication with the bladder. An access opening is formed on the proximal portion and is cooperatively dimensioned with the hollow interior to removably receive any one of a plurality of different types of positioning instruments within the sleeve.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2020Publication date: September 29, 2022Inventors: Agustin Arrieta, Peter Flores, Shawn McCoy, Michael Dollar

Patent number: 10219919Abstract: The present invention provides a prosthetic hand capable of multiple grasp types. The prosthetic finger units are underactuated both within and between the finger units using a differential mechanism arrangement. The locking movement of the prosthetic thumb unit is coupled to the differential mechanism. As the user repositions the prosthetic thumb unit, the differential mechanism is effected as to alter both the initial positions and force distribution of the prosthetic finger units. The present invention further provides an additive manufacturing molding method for making the same.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2016Date of Patent: March 5, 2019Assignee: YALE UNIVERSITYInventors: Joseph Thomas Belter, Aaron Michael Dollar, Michael Leddy, Kevin Dale Gemmell, Jr.

Publication number: 20160175134Abstract: In certain aspects, the present invention is a purely mechanical stance control orthosis, or stated differently, a weight acceptance control orthosis, as it stabilizes the impaired knee joint during the first 40% of the gait cycles termed as the weight acceptance phase. The device employs a tri-stable fixture to lock/unlock a friction-based latch to provide two levels of stiffness. The device is locked during the weight acceptance phase to stabilize the impaired knee joint for an orthotic application or avoid collapse for a prosthetic application, and is unlocked during the rest to allow free rotation. The device includes an engagement fixture, a locking mechanism, a chassis, and a frame. The engagement fixture controls the locking mechanism to lock and unlock movement in the chassis and frame in response to a wearer's weight load and is capable of locking at any angle.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2015Publication date: June 23, 2016Inventors: Kamran Shamaei Ghahfarokhi, Aaron Michael Dollar
