  • Publication number: 20250235220
Abstract: An assembly for engaging a medical device shaft includes an assembly body adapted to be held in a person's hand. The assembly body may be an ergonomic assembly body, for example. The assembly body defines a channel adapted to accommodate a medical device shaft extending therethrough. An engagement feature is adapted to selectively engage an engagement member secured on the medical device shaft, the engagement feature movable between an open configuration in which the engagement feature does not engage the engagement member and a closed configuration in which the engagement feature engages the engagement member.

  • Publication number: 20250195209
Abstract: A hemostasis valve includes a first hub and a second hub arranged with respective faces facing each other. An elastomeric tube extends between the first hub and the second hub and includes an inner surface defining part of a device lumen extending through the housing, and a plurality of cord segments extending from the first face to the second face, each of the plurality of cord segments circumferentially spaced from neighboring cord segments. Relative rotation between the first hub and the second hub causes each of the plurality of cord segments to cinch down onto an outer surface of the elastomeric tube and compress the elastomeric tube down into the device lumen, thereby sealing between the inner surface of the elastomeric tube and any elongate device extending through the device lumen.

  • Publication number: 20250195777
Abstract: Example medical device and methods for using medical devices are disclosed. An example syringe includes a barrel having a distal end region, a proximal end region and an inner surface defining a lumen extending therein. Further, the syringe includes a plunger having a proximal end region, a distal end region and a channel, wherein the channel includes a proximal end region and a distal end region. Further, the syringe includes an engagement member coupled to the barrel. Further, the plunger is configured to be positioned within the lumen of the barrel and a portion of the engagement member extends into the channel of the plunger when the plunger is positioned within the lumen of the barrel.

  • Publication number: 20240293117
Abstract: A releasable elongated assembly includes a release member having a length and an opening that extends along the length. The releasable elongated assembly includes a first elongated element having a first coupling member disposed in the opening and a second elongated element having a second coupling member disposed in the opening opposite the first coupling member along the length. The first and second elongated elements are interlaced with each other in the opening at a location between the first coupling member and the second coupling member such that the first and second elongated elements are attached to each other. The release member is moveable from a first position where the first and second coupling members are captured in the opening to a second position where the first and second coupling members are released from the opening so as to detach the first and second elongated elements from each other.

  • Publication number: 20200315827
Abstract: A delivery device can include several different features including, at least: a shuttle and trigger retraction of an outer sheath; an interlock device to prevent actuation of the trigger; a retraction override switch and lock; and an inner shaft adjuster to ensure correct alignment of the inner shaft and the outer sheath prior to device deployment. The inner shaft adjuster may include, at least: a proximal portion of the handle housing having slots therethrough: pins operatively fixed to the inner shaft and extending through and slidable within the slots: and a cap having an inner helical groove that mates with the pins. Rotation of the cap may push the pins and the inner shaft in a proximal-distal direction. The cap may have a distal lip configured to accept a proximal extension of the interlock and retain it in a locked position until the inner shaft has been adjusted or moved.
