  • Publication number: 20240423693
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a radiofrequency (RF) treatment are provided. In some embodiments, the method can include: performing, using a programmable controller, at least the following functions of: measuring an electrical energy flow through a grounding pad that is in contact with at least a portion of skin of a subject's skin; determining, based on the measured electrical energy flow, a heating factor that represents a measure of heat absorbed by the subject over a period of time in response to treatment of the subject with an electrical radiofrequency probe; and comparing the heating factor to a predetermined threshold. In response to determining from the comparison that the heating factor is approaching or greater than the predetermined threshold value, the method can include disabling the radiofrequency generator or changing the electrical energy flow such that the controller regulates the electrical energy flow using a closed loop feedback system.

  • Publication number: 20240426292
Abstract: Systems and methods for testing a pump assembly for a cooled radiofrequency treatment procedure. In some embodiments, the pump assembly and at least one pump head are driven by at least one respective motor, where the at least one pump head is coupled to tubing for delivering a cooling fluid to a medical probe assembly. The at least one pump head is configured to pump the cooling fluid through the tubing for the cooled radiofrequency treatment procedure. The system can also include a programmable controller operatively connective to the pump assembly and configured to control the pump assembly, and one or more pump function sensors for sensing operation parameters associated with the pump assembly and communicating the pump operation parameters to the controller. The controller can determine that the pump assembly is operating properly based on the operation parameters and can adjust the operation of the motor or output an alert.

  • Publication number: 20220331006
Abstract: A system for mounting a pump head to a pump assembly enclosure is provided. The system includes a mounting plate having an opening extending between a first side and a second side of the mounting plate, where the first side of the mounting plate is sized and configured for coupling to a pump head and the second side of the mounting plate is sized and configured for coupling to a pump assembly enclosure, and a cover plate configured to be disposed upon and coupled to the first side of the mounting plate, the cover plate including a tubing guide extending in a direction away from a first side of the cover plate and the first side of the mounting plate, the tubing guide including a guide channel extending through the tubing guide sized and configured to receive a pump tubing.
