  • Publication number: 20250145864
Abstract: A self-adhesive laminate material and method of manufacture thereof in which a water-soluble coating applied to a print-receptive coating on a first side of the material is transferred to an adhesive on a second side of the material. When the material is rolled up, the water-soluble coating transfers from the first side to the second side, thereby offering protection to the adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20240398587
Abstract: A prosthetic knee uses a hydraulic damper to regulate the rotation of the prosthetic knee joint. A magnetic rotary on-axis position sensor located at the joint between the upper and lower portions of the prosthetic knee measures the motion of the upper portion of the knee by detecting the magnetic field which is generated by a diametrically polarized magnet. A microprocessor correlates the measured motion to a knee joint angle, and adjusts the resistance provided by the hydraulic damper according to a corresponding stage of gait.

  • Publication number: 20240335303
Abstract: A unibody (e.g., seamless single-piece, monolithic) cylinder for a prosthetic knee defines a hydraulic cylinder in which a piston travels, defines fluid pathways for a hydraulic fluid, and defines bores that house embedded gearmotors and valves operable to actively control a damping rate of flexion and extension of the prosthetic knee. The unibody cylinder also houses sensors and electronics (e.g., circuit board) and cabling connecting them to the gearmotors. The unibody cylinder minimizing surfaces or junctions that come into contact with the hydraulic fluid to reduce sealing requirements, inhibit (e.g., prevent) hydraulic leaks and facilitate waterproofing of the unibody cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20240335304
Abstract: A hydraulic valve assembly includes a valve core with one or more valve core ports, the valve core rotatably housed in a valve sleeve having one or more valve sleeve ports. A hydraulic resistance of the hydraulic valve assembly varies approximately linearly with a change in valve position caused by rotating the valve core relative to the valve sleeve to vary an alignment between the one or more valve core ports and one or more valve sleeve ports. The valve assembly optionally includes a motor coupler and a gearmotor, the gearmotor operable to rotate the valve core relative to the valve sleeve via the motor coupler.

  • Publication number: 20240300260
Abstract: A method and system for creating exemplary end-use paint color includes a network module providing a first user input including paint color characteristics from a user device of a user to a paint analysis module. At least one colorant identifier associated with the first user input is generated by the paint analysis module via a color formula database. Colorants associated with the colorant identifiers are supplied to a kit, which is provided to the user. A second user input including a paint quantity is provided to the conversion module from the user device. A conversion module generates a quantity of each of the colorants based on the second user input; the quantities are sent to the user device. User-preferred paint colors are formed via a mixing means and applied to a display means. One or more user-preferred paint colors are confirmed as exemplary end-use paint colors by the user.

  • Patent number: 11826801
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of producing a soil remediant from liquid organic waste material in which the liquid organic waste material is concurrently pasteurised and digested by thermophilic aerobic digestion in the liquid phase in a single digester vessel. The organic waste material in the digester is maintained continuously at a temperature of at least 70° C. for at least an hour and the liquid organic waste material comprises at least 70% water and can be pumped. After a period of at least an hour a small amount of pasteurised organic waste material is removed and a corresponding amount of fresh organic waste material is added to the single digester vessel such that the temperature is maintained in a comfort zone of the thermophilic bacteria. In a preferred embodiment the thermophilic aerobic digestion is facilitated by micro-organisms including crenarchaeota. The liquid organic waste material can be combined with a microporous adsorbent.

  • Publication number: 20230285192
Abstract: The present technology is directed to implantable medical devices for draining fluid from a first body region to a second body region. Some embodiments of the present technology provide adjustable devices that are selectively titratable to provide various levels of therapy. For example, the adjustable devices can have a drainage element with a lumen extending therethrough, a flow control element, and an actuation assembly. The actuation assembly can drive movement of the flow control element to change a dimension of and/or a flow resistance through the lumen, thereby increasing or decreasing the relative drainage rate of aqueous from an eye. In some embodiments, the actuation assembly and the flow control element together operate as a ratchet mechanism that can selectively move the flow control element between a plurality of positions and lock the device in a desired configuration until further actuation of the actuation assembly.
