  • Patent number: 8638207
Abstract: A vehicle computer interface and software upgrade tool is in the form of a module. A base module contains basic vehicle interface, information and software. Additional modules can be connected to the base module or similar modules to provide a user or technician with the latest interface and software upgrades for vehicles, new vehicle data and new reprogramming features for existing vehicles. This is an expandable system which enables a user of technician to only purchase a relatively small module or component that contains the new interface or information rather than having to repurchase an entire new scan tool or vehicle analyzer. The modules are readily connectable to a vehicle's data port, commonly known as an OBD II connector or port. The modules also include additional connection ports for power in, power out, USB and/or pin connectors which provide for the export of data and other connectors. These modules can also be used in conjunction with an intelligent cable.

  • Publication number: 20120061014
Abstract: A face material is coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive which is in turn coated with a water soluble protective layer. The opposite printed side of the face material may be coated with hydrophobic lacquer. The adhesive is dried or cooled before the protective coating is applied. The protective layer is applied by extrusion or solution casting. Alternatively a reusable liner can be coated with the protective material and adhesive before the protected adhesive is transferred onto a face material.

  • Publication number: 20110230906
Abstract: Described here are methods, devices and kits for locating tissue and/or forming one or more tracts in tissue. In some variations, tissue may be located (e.g., using one or more optical sensors, ultrasound sensors, thermal sensors, or the like) and one or more tracts may be formed through the tissue after it has been located. In certain variations, the same device may be used both to locate tissue and to form one or more tracts in the tissue. In some variations, a tissue-piercing member for forming one or more tracts in tissue may comprise a first elongated portion and a second elongated portion, and an angle therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7746985
Abstract: A method, system and device for relay call transfer services in hearing-impaired communications is described. A voice phone number of a relay service is entered into a voice phone and a first segment of a communication session is established between a hearing-capable user on a voice phone and a relay service. The hearing-capable caller provides the relay service with a contact number of a hearing-impaired user. The relay service accesses the user profile of the hearing-impaired user and determines the user's preferred communication devices listed from most preferred to least preferred. An interpreter or communications assistant attempts to establish a connection to the hearing-impaired user's most preferred communication device. If the relay service fails to establish a connection with the most preferred communication device, the relay service can then transfer the call to a subsequent call service system that corresponds to the hearing-impaired user's next most preferred communication device.

  • Patent number: 7746984
Abstract: A method and system for call initiation and the establishment of a communication session in a video relay service are described. A called party number of a voice phone is entered into a video phone and a first segment of a communication session is established between the video phone and a Video Relay Service (VRS) system according to a network address of the VRS system stored within the video phone. The called party number is forwarded to the VRS system over the first segment of the communication session. A second segment of the communication session is established between the VRS system and the voice phone without any additional interaction by a user of the video phone using the called party number of the voice phone.
