  • Publication number: 20190189017
Abstract: An enhanced flight control system and method providing a technological improvement over a conventional flight control systems is provided. A control module employs rules to determine whether or not a received traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) evasive maneuver is automatically implemented. Specifically, the control module effectively couples the TCAS to the FMS, allowing access to the flight plan and to the navigation database and the approach procedures and runway data therein. An algorithm in the control module determines when there is a co-occurrence of the conditions (1) a flight plan uploaded in the FMS, (2) autopilot is engaged, (3) VNAV is engaged. Upon co-occurrence of (1) and (2) and (3), and an evasive maneuver is received from a TCAS, the control module determines whether or not to automatically implement the evasive maneuver. Look ahead algorithms may also analyse and modify the flight plan to preclude TCAS alerts and evasive procedures being required.

  • Publication number: 20190115301
Abstract: A metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) integrated circuit (IC) has a plurality of fiducial standard cells of different cell sizes. The different cell sizes are non-equally utilized. The plurality of fiducial standard cells are placed to have a random offset from a uniform global placement pattern. Each of the fiducial standard cells has at least four power rails and various sets of active regions. The power rails extend in a first direction. The active regions are provided adjacent to the power rails but are disconnected from contacts and interconnects and thus do not draw power from the power rails. Instead, the active regions are disjoint and collinear thereby creating islands of active regions among spacings of inactive regions. These inactive regions more easily allow electromagnetic radiation to pass through thereby allowing the MOS fiducial standard cell to be visible for a CAD-to-silicon backside image alignment even with 7 nm feature sizes.

  • Patent number: 10217838
Abstract: A semiconductor structure includes first, second, and third transistor elements each having a first screening region concurrently formed therein. A second screening region is formed in the second and third transistor elements such that there is at least one characteristic of the screening region in the second transistor element that is different than the second screening region in the third transistor element. Different characteristics include doping concentration and depth of implant. In addition, a different characteristic may be achieved by concurrently implanting the second screening region in the second and third transistor element followed by implanting an additional dopant into the second screening region of the third transistor element.
