    Abstract: A display system in a vehicle is operated to reduce power consumption by adaptively dimming display screens according to where a user is looking. The display system has a plurality of display objects each with a respective adjustable brightness. The passenger vehicle includes a gaze tracker evaluating an eye of a user to detect a gaze point where the user is looking. The gaze point is compared to locations of the display objects. A respective gaze frequency is determined for one or more of the display objects according to a number of times that the gaze point orients onto a respective display object. The adjustable brightness of the respective display object is adjusted according to the respective gaze frequency.

    Abstract: A vehicle including a transceiver and a processor is disclosed. The transceiver may be configured to receive a charging station location. The processor is configured to determine that the vehicle is in a key-off mode. Responsive to determining that the vehicle is in the key-off mode, the processor may determine at least one of a vehicle State of Charge (SOC) level or a vehicle distance from the charging station location based on a current vehicle location. The processor may further determine that a predefined condition is met based on the at least one of the vehicle SOC level or the vehicle distance. Responsive to a determination that the predefined condition is met, the processor may select a vehicle feature from a plurality of vehicle features based on historical usage pattern of the plurality of vehicle features in the key-off mode, and enable a high-power mode of the vehicle feature.

A door locking unit is coupled to a door in the entrance of the business to selectively lock the door. A cash register locking unit is coupled to a cash register in the business to lock the cash register. A facial recognition unit is provided to analyze the footage from the first video camera and the second video camera. The door locking unit locks the door when the facial recognition unit determines that a person approaching the entrance of the business is attempting to conceal their face. Additionally, the cash register locking unit locks the cash register when the facial recognition unit determines that a person approaching the cash register is attempting to conceal their face after entering the business.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an Internet based system and method for monitoring the location of a subject at any time via telephone voice verification. The system and method enables an agency officer to enroll a subject's profile into a computerized system. The subject then responds to a series of verbally answered questions, the responses to which are utilized to establish a voice signature for the subject. Subsequently, the system and method automatically and periodically contacts the subject at pre-determined locations at pre-determined times to verify the subject's actual presence at the locations via voice verification software. The present invention also enables the agency officer to monitor and review compliance efforts implemented by the Internet based system while also providing notifications of non-compliance by the subject to the agency officer under criteria previously established by the officer.

    Abstract: New and useful stacking apparatus in which a stacker can form a stream of signatures into a stack, and also associate an end board with one end of the stack. Moreover, the stacker is associated with a clamping mechanism which, when it moves over to the stacker to clamp a stack of signatures, also brings an end board and deposits an end board on the stacker for association with a succeeding stack. The stacker has a main member which moves along a path between a stack receiving position and an end board receiving position. As the main member moves from the end board receiving position, the intermediate member moves out of its way. The stacker also has an interceptor for initiating formation of a stack and a unique way of transferring the partially formed stack from the interceptor to the main member.
