  • Publication number: 20230111661
Abstract: A screw-latching assembly is provided. The assembly includes a screw with a head, a tip, and a body between the head and tip. The body includes a threaded portion adjacent to the tip and an unthreaded portion adjacent to the head, and the unthreaded portion includes a built-in collar with an outer diameter larger than that of the body. The assembly includes a supporting bracket supporting and partially encompassing a first portion of the screw. The supporting bracket includes a base and multiple sidewalls, with a first sidewall comprising a first opening to allow a second portion of the screw to extend out of the supporting bracket and a second sidewall comprising a second opening to allow access to the head by a torquing tool. The assembly includes a spring surrounding at least a portion of the body, with the spring positioned between the built-in collar and the first sidewall.

  • Publication number: 20220301075
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for one or more financial transactions based on a change in location of the user or a time. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a payment system detecting a change in location of a user or a change in time and determining, based on the change, that a payment transaction has occurred. The payment system then causes presentation of digital receipt for the payment transaction on a mobile device of a customer.

  • Patent number: 11410154
Abstract: In some examples, methods and systems may process one or more payment transactions between a merchant and a customer by obtaining at least one payment proxy having a syntax including a monetary currency indicator preceding an alphanumeric character. The payment proxy may be transmitted by a transmitter component of a payment beacon device. The method includes generating, through an application accessed through the customer device, a message by identifying the payment proxy in a message and a money transfer amount in the message; parsing the payment proxy to identify the merchant associated with the payment proxy in the message; identifying a merchant financial account associated with the identified merchant, based on a stored association between the merchant financial account and the identified merchant; and initiating, by the payment processing system, a transfer of funds indicative of the money transfer amount from a financial account of the customer to a financial account of the merchant.

  • Patent number: 11410247
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technology for automatically triggering delivery of a digital receipt for a financial transaction based on a previously stored electronic address for receiving digital receipts. In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a digital receipt system working in coordination with one or more merchants' POS device to deliver receipts for current transactions based on a previously stored electronic address from past transactions. The first time a user utilizes a payment instrument in a transaction, the system associates and stores the payment-instrument information with an identifier of the user. The next time a transaction is detected that involves the identifier, the system automatically triggers receipt delivery to an electronic address associated with the identifier.

In at least some embodiments, the technology includes a digital receipt system working in coordination with one or more merchants' POS device to deliver receipts for current transactions based on a previously stored electronic address from past transactions. The first time a user utilizes a payment card in a transaction, the system associates and stores a user-provided electronic address with the card. The next time the user utilizes the card in a new transaction, the system identifies the card has been used in a past transaction, determines the electronic address associated with the card, and automatically triggers receipt delivery to the electronic address, regardless of the new transaction being with a same or different merchant than the one in the past transaction.

  • Publication number: 20190355034
Abstract: Data describing a purchase order to be prepared by a merchant and an expected arrival time of a user for arriving at a geographic location of the merchant can be received. An order preparation time for the purchase order based on the one or more items specified in the purchase order can be determined. The order preparation time can be a time needed by the merchant to prepare the purchase order. An order start time based on the order preparation time for the purchase order and on the expected arrival time can be determined. The order start time can be a time for beginning preparation of the purchase order to have the purchase order ready at the expected arrival time. The data describing the purchase order and the order start time can be presented.

  • Publication number: 20140350078
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of identifying candidate compounds useful as chemotherapeutics or anti-infective compounds or anti-inflammatory drugs. This method involves providing a plurality of test compounds. The plurality of test compounds are incubated with human Regulatory T (Treg) cells expressing Disc-Large Homo log 1 (Dlgh1) or in which Dlgh1 is suppressed, where the Treg cells have an immunological synapse (IS). Test compounds which inhibit Dlgh1 expression, recruitment to the IS, and/or activity in the Treg cells are identified as candidate compounds potentially useful as chemotherapeutics or anti-infective compounds. Test compounds which enhance Dlgh1 recruitment to the IS and/or activity in the Treg cells are identified as candidate compounds potentially useful as anti-inflammatory drugs. The present invention also relates to methods of treating inflammatory conditions, cancers, and infectious diseases in a subject, as well as methods of inhibiting Treg cell activity.

  • Patent number: 7284332
Abstract: A hole center marking system comprises a punch device and an alignment member. The punch device includes a body assembly and a punch movably disposed within the body assembly. The body assembly has a circular cross-sectional exterior shape at a first end portion thereof. An indenting tip portion of the punch is forcibly biased to a position within the body assembly adjacent the first end portion of the body assembly. The alignment member has a central bore configured for having the first end portion of the body assembly engaged therein. The central bore of the alignment member is size to provide a close-tolerance fit between the central bore and the first end portion of the body assembly.

  • Patent number: 5887135
Abstract: Two or more user applications executing on one or more processors, each controlled by an operating system, share use of a list and subsidiary list structure within a Structured External Storage (SES) facility to which each processor is connected. One of the applications registers interest in particular state transitions affecting one or more subsidiary lists within the list structure, causing a process within the SES to notify the appropriate processor when a list operation causes the particular state transition, without interrupting processing on the processor. The application receives notice of the state transition by periodically polling a vector within the processor, or by receiving control when a test by the operating system of a summary indicator for the vector causes an application exit to be driven.

  • Patent number: 5875484
Abstract: A method and system for capturing and controlling access to information in a data processing system are provided. The data processing system includes one or more operating systems coupled to a coupling facility. When one or more operating systems lose communication with the coupling facility, a surviving operating system captures some or all of the information in the coupling facility, including that information associated with the failed operating system(s). In order to capture the information when a system fails or at any other time, the information in the coupling facility is serialized, thereby preventing all access to the information except for those commands capturing the information. While the information is serialized, requests for the information are queued and then re-driven once serialization is released. If an operating system loses communication with the coupling facility during the creation of a dump, another operating system will continue the dump.

  • Patent number: 5761739
Abstract: A dumping service facility for data processing systems, including single systems, multisystems and shared facilities. Information, such as control information, is captured and a storage dump is created. During the capturing process, the information is serialized such that mainline commands (i.e., commands other than dump commands) are not allowed to access the information thereby possibly destroying the information. The information is stored within the storage dump in such a manner that programs can understand the information. That is, the storage dump contains a logical representation of the information being captured. Subsequent to capturing the information, serialization is released and mainline commands can once again access the information.

  • Patent number: 5742830
Abstract: A Structured External Storage (SES) processor is linked by a communication means to one or more general purpose processors. Two or more applications executing on the one or more general purpose processors communicate function request messages to a message processor within the SES to effect serialized sharing of data within the SES. Within the message processor, a predicate function means executes unconditionally on receipt of one of the function request messages, and a data function means executes conditionally and atomically with respect to the predicate function means following a "successful" condition produced by the predicate function means.
