  • Patent number: 11162623
Abstract: A fitting assembly comprises a male coupling having a male thread and an aperture defining an inner circumferential surface of the male coupling. The inner circumferential surface includes a plurality of spaced apart grooves. A tail piece is at least partially received in the aperture of the male coupling. A hose is received and compressed in a space formed between the inner circumferential surface of the male coupling and an outer circumferential surface of the tail piece. The hose is deformed into the plurality of the spaced apart grooves formed in the inner circumferential surface of the male coupling to form an interference fit therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20190093804
Abstract: A male swivel hose coupling includes a hollow tail piece having a receiving portion and a stem and a hollow collar having a threaded portion. The collar is received over the receiving portion and is freely rotatable with respect to the receiving portion. The receiving portion of the tailpiece includes a rim and a shoulder, and the collar includes a lip and a shoulder. The rim of the receiving portion forms a first stopping surface for engaging the lip and the shoulder of the receiving portion forms a second stopping surface for engaging the shoulder of the collar.

  • Patent number: 5890748
Abstract: A composite male hose coupler comprising a metallic tail piece; an externally threaded male fitting; and means for affixing the tail piece to the male fitting; and a method of manufacture thereof, are disclosed. The metallic tail piece is formed of annealed brass tube stack and includes a first cylindrical portion and a second cylindrical portion joined together by a radially outwardly extending flange generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the first and second cylindrical portions. The externally threaded male fitting is formed of machined brass stock and includes external threads on the outer surface and an annular lip for receiving the flange of the tail piece. A solder material is employed to produce a fluid-tight seal between the tail piece and the male fitting.

  • Patent number: 5410441
Abstract: A circuit for protecting direct current (DC) powered devices from excessive supply voltage and reverse polarity supply voltage comprises supply voltage coupling circuitry that operably couples a DC powered device to a supply voltage. The circuit also includes a first field effect transistor (FET) having an intrinsic diode operably coupled to the supply voltage coupling circuitry. Further, the circuit includes first current blocking circuitry operably coupled to the first FET for blocking current flow through the intrinsic diode. Still further, the circuit comprises gate supply circuitry operably coupled to the first FET and the supply voltage coupling circuitry to supply gate voltage to the first FET when the supply voltage is less than a predetermined value.
