  • Patent number: 8568112
Abstract: An air valving system for a reciprocating piston pump (5) which uses piston (10) actuated poppet assemblies (40) to control the main air valve (16) shift. The valve exhaust is vented (50) directly to atmosphere rather than through the main exhaust to ensure reliability. A ramped detent (32) prevents the air valve (16) from centering.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 2006
Date of Patent: October 29, 2013
    Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.
Inventors: Mark L. Bauck, John F. Isais, Jr., Mark T. Weinberger, David M. Pittman, Michael E. Bloom
  • Publication number: 20080251606
Abstract: The feeder passages (22) in the aircap (20) of an air spray gun (10) arc slots which are significantly wider than the horn exit holes (24). This construction makes centerline offset much more forgiving by providing a consistent intersection of the passages. The feeder passages (22) are also deeper in that they extent past the intersection point (26) again making them more forgiving of irregularities. Sealing and seating of the nozzle (18) to the fluid inlet (16) have also been improved over the prior art. In the instant invention, o-rings (28) seal the nozzle (18) to the fluid inlet (16) and allow the shoulder (18b) of the nozzle (18) to seat squarely on the spray housing (14) controlling angularity.

  • Patent number: 6526837
Abstract: A test specimen holder for holding a test specimen in a material testing machine includes screw operated actuators with removable blocks of material. Preferably, a plurality of blocks of material is provided with a varying degree of compliance. Alignment guides indicating the relative position of jaw plates are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6470634
Abstract: A door guard for protecting a doorframe and including a deflecting member having a vertically-oriented, planar, and horizontally-elongate deflecting surface adapted for being positioned adjacent to a side of a doorframe and projecting outwardly therefrom at an oblique angle thereto for deflecting a colliding object away from the doorframe.
