  • Patent number: 11925333
Abstract: A system and method for confirming placement of a biopsy tool in a target including a navigation component to track the position of a catheter navigated into a luminal network, and a catheter configured to receive a biopsy tool. The system and method receive a first plurality of fluoroscopic images, generate a first fluoroscopic three-dimensional reconstruction from the plurality of fluoroscopic images, and present a first slice of the 3D reconstruction depicting the catheter in relation to a target visible in the slice of the 3D reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 11744991
Abstract: A catheter assembly for navigation including a flexible catheter having a proximal portion adjacent a proximal end and a distal portion adjacent a distal end and defining a longitudinal axis, the flexible catheter defining a lumen extending therethrough along a longitudinal axis and configured to enable translation of an instrument from the proximal end to the distal end. The flexible catheter defines a compound curve formed on the distal portion, wherein the compound curve includes an elbow bend and a radially curved portion. The elbow bend deflecting the distal portion of the flexible catheter from the longitudinal axis, while the radially curved portion extends from the elbow bend farther deflecting the distal portion about a center point. The catheter guide assembly for navigation includes a control handle disposed at the proximal end of the flexible catheter and is configured to advance and rotate the flexible catheter within a luminal structure.

  • Publication number: 20230145801
Abstract: Systems and methods of visualizing a current view of a tool relative to a lesion by processing current fluoroscopic images from a current fluoroscopic sweep occurring after an initial fluoroscopic sweep. The processing includes determining the locations and/or orientations of a tool and a lesion in a current 3D reconstruction of the current fluoroscopic images or in a subset of the current fluoroscopic images, generating a 3D rendering based on the locations and/or orientations of the tool and the lesion, and displaying the 3D rendering. The locations and/or orientations of the tool and the lesion may be obtained from a user interface enabling a user to mark the current locations and/or orientations in the current 3D reconstruction or in a subset of the current fluoroscopic images, or by segmenting the current 3D reconstruction or a subset of the current fluoroscopic images.

  • Patent number: 11576588
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, devices, and methods for registering a luminal network to a 3D model of the luminal network. An example method comprises generating a 3D model of a luminal network, identifying a target within the 3D model, determining locations of a plurality of carinas in the luminal network proximate the target, displaying guidance for navigating a location sensor within the luminal network, tracking the location of the location sensor, comparing the tracked locations of the location sensor and the portions of the 3D model representative of open space, displaying guidance for navigating the location sensor a predetermined distance into each lumen originating at the plurality of carinas proximate the target, tracking the location of the location sensor while the location sensor is navigated into each lumen, and updating the registration of the 3D model with the luminal network based on the tracked locations of the location sensor.
