    Abstract: An electrical jack cable assembly includes a jack cable connector and an adaptor coupling for attaching the connector to a support. The adaptor coupling has a face plate and a tray that extends to a rear wall. The connector body is retained in the tray behind the abutment wall so that the rear wall resists any movement of the connector body with respect to the adaptor coupling in the plug-in direction. The jack cable assembly is made by providing a jack cable connector providing an adaptor coupling having a tray that extends rearwardly to a rear wall and assembling the connector body to the tray by slanting the connector body and inserting the slanted connector body into the tray until it passes over the rear wall of the tray. The rear end of the connector body is then pushed down for retaining the connector body firmly and positively in the tray.

The abutment wall has a plurality of through holes for inserting protruding ends of into the socket from a portion of the tray behind the abutment wall. The connector body in retained in the tray behind the abutment wall so that the rear wall resists any movement of the connector body with respect to the adaptor coupling in the plug-in direction.

    Abstract: A tracheotomy kit has a cutter assembly and an end cap. The cutter assembly includes a cutter head protruding from an end of a cutter housing that has flexible arms that extend from opposite sides of the cutter housing forwardly and outwardly in cantilever fashion to a position forward of a tip of the cutter head. The free ends of the flexible arms have pads for engaging a human throat for performing a tracheotomy. The end cap is detachably fastened to the cutter housing enclosing the cutter head and includes a flat elongate tongue for spreading the tracheotomy incision.

    Abstract: A pass-thru electrical connector assembly is an integral part of a barrier wall which separates a harsh environment from a controlled environment. A connector body having a staged position and a locked position on the barrier wall has a flange which extends radially outward from one end of an axial projecting portion. Via rotation of the connector body from the staged position to the locked position, the projecting portion of the connector body moves axially forward through a hole of the barrier wall as a ring seal is preferably axially compressed between the flange and one side of the barrier wall. Axial movement of the connector body is achieved via a plurality of locking lugs which protrude radially outward from and are spaced circumferentially about the projecting portion of the connector body. The lugs are aligned circumferentially with a plurality of slots spaced about and communicating with the hole of the barrier wall when the connector body is in the staged position.

    Abstract: An electrical connector for use in an SIR system comprises a connector housing which has a plug portion with a filter cavity disposed therein. A filter element which has a pair of longitudinally disposed receptacles is disposed within the filter cavity. The connector also has a pair of terminals each of which has a barrel portion that is disposed within each of the receptacles within the filter element and a perpendicular crimp portion. A retaining cap which has a connector position assurance portion (CPA) and a cover portion connected by a pair of flexible straps is fastened to the connector housing to align and retain the terminals within the connector housing. The terminals have a U-shaped transition area that allows for a smaller terminal.

    Abstract: A damper and electrical connector system wherein the damper includes a ring mounting element having a base portion attached to a housing of the damper and a hole extending through the base portion and communicating with an interior chamber of the housing. A slot is formed through a side of the ring mounting element and communicates with the hole in the base. The electrical connector includes an end inserted through the slot and a power terminal extends through the hole formed in the base and makes electrical connection with an element requiring electrical power that is carried in the housing. Preferably the electrical connector also includes a ground terminal which makes electrical contact with the ring mounting element. A vehicle mounting rod is inserted through the ring mount to hold the connector in place.

    Abstract: A seal lamp socket arrangement for mounting a W-2 type bulb is provided including a housing with a collar opening and a base with a bore with opposed inwardly projecting tabs; a retainer cap with a diameter generally aligned with the housing bore with twist lock slots allowing for insertion through the housing opening past the housing opening opposed tabs and for connection with the housing upon rotation, the retainer having at least one internal ledge; a socket base with a flange for maintaining seal position, the socket base having a seal mounting portion to position a seal in sealing contact with the housing collar, the socket base also having at least two bores with an area reduction to entrap a spring terminal, and the socket base having two compliant tabs for capture of a W-2 type bulb and at least one ledge to connect the retainer whereby the retainer retains a seal within the collar; and a spring terminal held in position in reduced diameter portion of the socket base.
