  • Patent number: 6283876
Abstract: A ball striking training system that delivers balls to a user's hitting zone without a horizontal velocity component includes a hopper to hold a plurality of balls and a feeding mechanism which delivers tennis balls to an outlet tube where they are dropped from a chosen height so that they bounce to the height desired by the user. The balls may be struck by a learner into a target area that includes a collection mechanism to collect the balls so that they may easily be returned to the hopper of the feeding mechanism. The system can be set up to be used indoors or outside at the user's convenience.

  • Patent number: 5997469
Abstract: A sexual aid device that encircles the base of the penis. The device may be constructed as a single ring, or as a set of rings that can be used together in various conformations. The device includes a size adjustment means that allows the user to vary the size of the central through hole so that a user of the device is always ensured of a proper fit. The device may also include an extension means to directly stimulate the female's clitoral region. Alternatively, the device may be formed with an oval shape as opposed to a round shape to achieve the objective of direct stimulation of the clitoris.

  • Patent number: 4318447
Abstract: An electronic digital readout diet scale for measuring and displaying weight information. A microcomputer is used to enable a dieter to enter a diet program having an objective weight and a given time interval. The scale will indicate the amount of weight to be lost or gained in order to achieve the objective weight as well as the deviation between the current weight and the projected weight according to the diet program.

  • Patent number: 3967690
Abstract: An electronic digital readout diet scale including means for accurately detecting and displaying minute changes of weight in a dieter accurate to small fractions of pounds is described. One embodiment comprises a transducer for generating a signal representing the weight of the dieter, and means for storing a signal representing a reference weight for the dieter. These signals are applied to a time gated oscillator whose output in turn is applied to an up-down counter. The counter is responsive to the oscillator output signals to display the dieter's weight or change in weight, and provides a digital display of current weight or weight change. A switching device, either manual or automatic with a time delay, first couples the transducer output to the counter to display the current weight of a user and then couples the storage means to the counter to decrease the displayed weight by the reference weight, whereby the relative change of weight of the user may be displayed.

  • Patent number: 3940868
Abstract: A Light Emitting Diode (L.E.D.) that gives off a monochromatic red light of a frequency that is attractive to fish is attached to a conventional fish hook or lure, along with its power supply battery. A water activated switch can be installed to complete the electrical circuit when the lure is immersed in the water. The electrical leads can also function as the leader to the hook. The L.E.D., battery and circuit components can also be installed inside a fish lure body, and can be used in conjunction with other fish lures such as reflecting panels and tied flies.

  • Patent number: 3936938
Abstract: An orthodontic spring appliance which is readily inserted in the mouth and may be stretched to exert a predetermined force is provided by a coil spring having on at least one end a substantially straight wire having protrusions thereon spaced at predetermined intervals. The wire with protrusions may be readily connected to a spring clip which may be attached to the arch wire or a tooth bracket. The clip has a slot therein which is so designed that it readily accommodates the protrusion but prevents the wire from being pulled out by the tension force of the spring.
