  • Publication number: 20030224340
Abstract: According to a first preferred aspect of the instant invention, there is provided a method of test scoring, wherein a bi-tonal image of a constructed response test answer is transmitted to a scorer and, if requested by the scorer, a multi-tonal image of that same image is transmitted. In another preferred arrangement, while a scorer is reviewing a first transmitted test answer, a second image will be transmitted and stored as a hidden graphic on his or her computer, thereby making it possible to immediately display the second image when requested. According to still another preferred arrangement, a method is provided of transmitting to a scorer a portion of a test answer sheet that is larger than the Area of Interest for the assigned answer and then, after a predetermined time delay, automatically zooming the image view to include only the Area of Interest.

  • Patent number: 5305434
Abstract: In a relational database system, facility is provided for a navigator controlling a procedure executor and a panel executor. Procedures are specified by a procedural language which includes current panel operations being permitted as a panel commands in the procedural language. The panel may call these procedures and the procedures may thus include panel actions executed by the panel executor upon being called. The procedure monitors the state of the current panel which may comprise monitoring multiple fields and may effect changes thereto automatically and as a function of the monitoring, as well as direct commitment of data in the panel. Provision is further made for looping logic in the procedures whereby batch panels are effected without the need for user interaction.
