Publication number: 20240156044Abstract: A projection is provided on a side barrier of a cubicle or stall for a bovine animal, the projection being positioned at the open end of the cubicle through which the animal enters the cubicle. The projection defines a region of reduced opening width which forces the animal to straighten its entry into the cubicle, thereby promoting a straight lying position without reducing the lying area available for the animal within the cubicle. A straight lying position encourages the animal's waste to be deposited away from the animal's bed into a waste channel in the passageway outside the cubicle. Preferably a pair of projections are provided, extending towards one another from the opposed side barriers, such that the reduced opening width region is centered within the overall opening width. The projection is preferably provided as an accessory which can be mounted on the rails of an existing cubicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2024Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventor: Michael Earls

Publication number: 20240144202Abstract: A system and method for implementing a fast payment is described. A request to execute a payout to a payee account is received, where the request includes information about the payout. At least one payment rail available for the requested payout is determined from a plurality of payment rails based on the included information. Rules associated with each of the at least one payment rail are identified. A fastest payment rail is determined from the at least one payment rail for executing the payout based on the identified rules and the information about the payout. The payout is then executed over the determined fastest payment rail.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: William Earl Crowley, Michael Ting, David Koch

Publication number: 20240095924Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for minimizing retinal exposure to flash during image gathering for diagnosis. In an embodiment, a system captures a plurality of retinal images of different retinal regions. The system determines that a first portion of a first image does not meet a criterion while a second portion of the first image does meet the criterion, identifies a portion of the retina depicted in the first portion that does not meet the criterion, and determines whether the portion of the retina is depicted in a third portion of a second image and whether the third portion meets the criterion. Responsive to determining that the third portion meets the criterion, the system performs the diagnosis. Responsive to determining that the portion of the retina is not depicted in the second image, the system captures an additional image of the retinal region.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Warren James Clarida, Ryan Earl Rohret Amelon, Abhay Shah, Jacob Patrick Suther, Meindert Niemeijer, Michael David Abramoff

Patent number: 11928705Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed for providing instant rebates before a transaction is completed. This involves ingest of customer and rebate data from two or more utilities, where the data is parsed and normalized into a standard format across all of the utilities. The customer data is then stored in an accounts database, while the rebate data is further processed along with utility rebate rules to determine a set of device and demand response rebate eligibilities for a variety of scenarios. The resulting rebate profiles can be stored in a rebates database and linked to corresponding customer account data in the accounts database. Third-party frontends can then request rebate eligibility based on a customer identifier and retail channel, and various services can work in tandem to query the rebated database and return a set of eligibilities with so little latency that the eligibility check appears instant from a customer's standpoint.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2018Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Uplight, Inc.Inventors: Yoav Lurie, Justin Segall, Michel Jaroenvanit, John Vajda, Sean McColgan, Jarod Earl Stewart, Nicolae Radu Girleanu, Ilya A.
