  • Publication number: 20230135897
Abstract: An information processing method implemented by a computer. The information processing method includes the step of acquiring an internal parameter value regarding a biological characteristic of fish, an external parameter value regarding a surrounding environment characteristic of the fish, and a shoaling parameter value regarding a shoaling characteristic that is a behavior of one fish with respect to other fish, and the step of generating a simulation image including a behavior of each fish in a fish school based on the internal parameter value, the external parameter value, and the shoaling parameter value that are acquired in the step of acquiring.

  • Publication number: 20190360529
Abstract: Wheel bearings utilize two sets of tandem ball bearings. Each set of tandem ball bearings utilize a single cage that staggers the circumferential positions of balls in one row relative to balls in a second row. As a result of the staggering, the two rows can be closer together. This improves the wheel bearing stiffness relative to tilting without increasing the overall bearing dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20070119236
Abstract: An apparatus and method for sensing chemical and/or biological analytes includes a deflectable arm of a microcantilever at least partially embedded within a sensing element. A gaseous or liquid medium which may include the analyte being detected is introduced to the sensing element. The sensing element undergoes volumetric expansion or contraction in the presence of the analyte sought to be detected, typically by adsorbing the analyte. The volumetric change of the sensing element causes the deflectable arm to deflect. The deflectable arm includes at least one measurable physical property which changes when the arm deflects. Detecting means are provided to measure the change in the physical property to determine the presence and amount of analyte present. An array of microcantilevers in which each microcantilever is dedicated to detecting a particular analyte which may be included in the medium, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050109638
Abstract: A compactly configured contact lens case for storing contact lenses which includes at least one mirrored closure cap. The mirror is viewable as the top surface of the closure cap. The contact lens case includes two reservoirs that share a common base and are coaxially oriented and threaded to accept cylindrical closure caps that engage the opposite ends of the cylindrical body and have inner peripheral surfaces that are coaxially related to the outer peripheral surfaces of the two cylindrical reservoirs of the body. The mirrors' primary function is to provide a close proximity view of the insertion or abstraction of the contact lens into or from the users' eye. The user will hold the mirrored closure cap directly in front of the eye with one hand, while performing the act of inserting or abstracting the contact lens into or from the eye with the opposite hand.
