  • Patent number: 11969877
Abstract: A technique for facilitating deployment and stowing of a ballistic shield on a vehicle includes providing a central armored panel having a hinged connection to a base, which may be coupled to or integral with the vehicle. The hinged connection includes an axle and a set of torsion springs configured to exert a lifting torque on the central armored panel relative to the base, such that the central armored panel is movable about the hinged connection for assuming both an upright, deployed position and a laid-down, stowed position.

  • Publication number: 20200206025
Abstract: Active agent delivery devices are provided. Aspects of the devices include an active agent delivery component having an active agent delivery system; and an actuator component, where the active agent delivery component is release-ably engaged to the actuator component. The actuator component includes an active agent delivery system actuator. Either or both components may contain one or more elements of a pain mitigation system and/or a smart device system, e.g., an identifier and identifier reader. Also provided are methods of using the devices.

  • Patent number: 7410451
Abstract: An exercise machine attachment is provided wherein the attachment may comprise a hook aperture attached to a joint wherein the joint defines bead chain apertures formed within the joint and extending directionally in an oblique or perpendicular manner. The attachment may further comprise first and second bead chains attached to the bead chain apertures. Also, each bead chain may comprise a plurality of beads which are sized and configured to be ergonomically fitted into a weight lifter's hand.

  • Patent number: 7086991
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rope climbing simulator system for allowing a user to simulate ascending and descending rope climbing exercises therewith. The system includes a bead chain of serially connected beads. Each of the beads defines a palmar support portion graspable by the user's hands for moving the bead chain in downward and upward directions. A resistance mechanism is in mechanical communication with the bead chain for providing resistance to the bead chain. The bead chain and the resistance mechanism cooperate to impart flexion of the user's muscles during the exercises.
