  • Patent number: 12484467
Abstract: Sharing planter data is made efficient through an initial separation of agricultural data before transmission of the same. During performance of agricultural tasks, generated data is stored in files representing geographic regions. Several data layers of the files correspond to various agricultural aspects which can then be selectively transmitted with smaller parsed files. The received data can be harmonized into the same format used by the receiving agricultural implement. Sharing planter data in this way obviates performance degradation for rural cellular networks.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2021
Date of Patent: December 2, 2025
    Assignee: Kinze Manufacturing, Inc.
Inventors: Matthew Moeller, Matthew Baker, Michael Ehler, Ryan McMahan, Jason Schoon, Tony Steidler-Dennison

  • Patent number: 10306051
Abstract: A battery powered mobile device has battery monitoring circuit that measures one or more parameters indicative of a current state of the battery. A plurality of operational systems and processes form a part of the mobile device. A programmed processor is programmed to carry out a process that includes: determining a current state of the battery by receiving data representing the one or more parameters from the battery monitoring circuit indicative of the current state of the battery; calculating a battery power factor as a function of the parameter; comparing the battery power factor to a threshold; when the battery power factor exceeds the threshold, identifying a system or process within the mobile device whose power consumption can be reduced; and reducing the power consumption by altering or disabling the identified system or process.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 28, 2019
    Assignee: Hand Held Products, Inc.
