  • Publication number: 20070288223
Abstract: A method for a software-engineered reproduction of the behavior of an actual domestic appliance in a model, which is connected to the domestic appliance via a bi-directional connecting device, by which current states of the relevant domestic appliance are transmitted to the model and actions are executed on the domestic appliance. The model is merely described declaratively by way of graph structures with regard to the appliance parameters which indicate the appliance behavior. Appliance states and transition conditions between appliance states of the relevant domestic appliance are retained in a status graph software and it is checked by means of a control graph software whether a specific action can be executed in the respective appliance state of the relevant domestic appliance or with specified parameter combinations. An appliance information software contains all the information on the available status variables and actions of the relevant domestic appliance.

  • Publication number: 20050283733
Abstract: For computer-assisted generation of a graphical user interface for an equipment monitoring unit and/or equipment control unit of at least one appliance such as a household appliance, a base structure of the graphical user interface is determined from a base configuration file. Equipment-specific static detail data from an equipment-specific equipment configuration file and equipment-specific dynamic detail data, which are provided by the device to be controlled and which describe a state of the device to be monitored and/or to be controlled, are inserted into the base structure as defined by information stored in at least one configuration file on the sites in the graphical user interface at which what equipment-specific static or dynamic data are to be stored.

  • Patent number: 5265460
Abstract: Method and apparatus for determining jet fuel density. A microprocessor monitors the temperature, velocity of sound and dielectric constant of a jet fuel. The microprocessor determines the type of jet fuel and the density of the fuel using data from jet fuel samples of a known density and a least-squares-fit of the test data.

  • Patent number: 4815323
Abstract: A method of measuring aircraft fuel quantity and density in a fuel container using an ultrasonic transducer; a stillwell liquid fuel; a computer control, an indicator and an altitude sensor. The computer control includes a central processing unit connected to each of the ultrasonic transducers. The altitude sensor is connected to the central processing unit. The indicator means is connected to the central processing unit. The stillwell is supported by the container. Each ultrasonic transducer is supported within the stillwell by the container. The liquid fuel is supported within the container. An ultrasonic signal is transmitted from the transducer within the stillwell. The reflected ulrasonic signal is received by the transducer within the stillwell. The round-trip time period from sending to reciving the signal is measured. The quantity of fuel in the container is determined from the round-trip time period and stored data on the container volume in the central processing unit.

  • Patent number: 4677305
Abstract: An opto-acoustic fuel quantity gauging system, including: a tank; an ultrasonic energy source; an optical power source; a fiber optic cable; an ultrasonic sensor; an optical detector and a signal conditioning circuit. The ultrasonic energy source is connected to the tank. The ultrasonic energy sensor is connected to the tank. The optical power source is connected to the fiber optic cable. The ultrasonic energy source is connected to the fiber optic cable. The ultrasonic energy sensor is connected to the optical detector by the fiber optic cable. The circuit is connected to the optical detector.
