Abstract: A touchless stall door opening and closing system includes a motor, a door pivot for pivoting a door between an open position and a closed position, a locking mechanism for locking the door when the door is in the closed position, and a microcontroller for receiving a signal from a first sensor to drive the motor for opening the door and for receiving a signal from a second sensor for actuating the locking mechanism for unlocking the door. A method for touchless operation of the door includes touchless opening of the door, touchless closing of the door, and touchless locking and unlocking of the door.
