Patent number: 12643393Abstract: An active vehicle air intake shutter system for installation at first and second air intake openings on a front end of a motor vehicle that are angled relative to one another in both rearward and lateral directions. The system includes first and second intake shutter assemblies for mounting at the intake openings. A lateral shaft has first and second shaft couplings each oriented axially with respect to the shaft axis, that connect, respectively, to a first coupling of the first intake shutter assembly at an angle to define a first angled joint that transfers pivotal movement therebetween without changing the angle therebetween, and a second coupling of the second intake shutter assembly at an angle to define a second such angled joint. An actuator pivots the first and second couplings simultaneously between open and closed positions via the shaft and the first and second angled joints.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2024Date of Patent: June 2, 2026Assignee: VENTRA GROUP, CO.Inventors: Joaquin Hung, Michael Engle, Zackary Bucki

Publication number: 20250121677Abstract: An active vehicle air intake shutter system is provided for installation at an air intake opening on a front end of a motor vehicle. An intake shutter assembly is pivotable about a shutter axis between a closed position and an open position. The intake shutter assembly includes an input connector offset radially with respect to the shutter axis. The system also comprises an actuator having an output shaft rotatable about an actuator axis. The output shaft has an output connector offset radially to the actuator axis. An intermediate linkage has a shutter connector for coupling to the input connector and an actuator connector for coupling to the output connector to enable rotation of the output shaft to pivot the shutter assembly for opening and closing. The actuator connector and the output connector provide an output multi-axial joint offset radially from the actuator axis. The shutter connector and the input connector provide an input multi-axial joint offset radially from the shutter axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Joaquin HUNG, Michael ENGLE, Zachary BUCKI

Publication number: 20230382580Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems of preparing containment vessels which contain a precise volume of fluid. An auger filler, comprising a rotor and a stator, may dispense this precise volume of fluid into a containment vessel when the rotor is rotated relative to the stator in a first direction, causing fluid contained the auger filler to be dispensed into the containment vessel, until the precise volume of fluid is dispensed. The rotor may then be rotated relative to the stator in a second direction to prevent more fluid from being dispensed, ensuring that the containment vessel is not significantly overfilled past this precise volume of fluid. The containment vessel may then be sealed to define a prepared containment vessel. The methods and systems herein may allow for a continuous process flow that continuously produces prepared containment vessels, with each being near identical to one another.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2023Publication date: November 30, 2023Inventors: Robert Ydens, Brett Bannon, Michael Engle, Eduardo Flores

Publication number: 20080256132Abstract: A method and system for determining an impact of an incident. An occurrence of an incident is identified. One or more persons at least potentially impacted by the incident are identified based on dynamic indications. After the occurrence, one or more indicators associated with the one or more persons identified are detected. Based on the indicators, the extent to which the persons identified have been impacted by the incident is assessed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2008Publication date: October 16, 2008Applicant: Lehman Brothers Inc.Inventors: Jillian Paige Munro, Patrick Anthony Alesi, Michael Engle

Publication number: 20070107060Abstract: A system and method to ensure that a remote computer making a VPN connection complies with network security policies. Server-driven security checks may be configured to verify compliance with each access level before access is granted at that level. The security checks may be selected based at least according to the information received from the remote computer. After the server determines that the remote computer complies with the security policy for the requested access level, the server may pass a token to the remote computer, or may grant VPN access to the remote computer. If the remote computer does not comply with the security policy associated with the requested access level but is in compliance with a security policy corresponding to a lower access level, the server may grant the remote computer access to the lower access level.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2006Publication date: May 10, 2007Applicant: Lehman Brothers Inc.Inventors: Michael Engle, Frederick Nwokobia, Bradley Noack, Jerzy Makowiecki
