Patent number: 12622409Abstract: An animal enclosure including a plurality of members defining an interior of the enclosure. The plurality of members includes a first member having a frame and a door formed by a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. The door is pivotable with respect to the frame and a latch maintains the door in a closed position when latched. At least one of the wires of the door assembly is configured to include one of an access portion and a tab, and at least one of the wires of the frame assembly includes the other of the access portion and the tab. The latch, when moved to an open position, enables sliding movement of the door with respect to the frame. Alignment of the access portion and tab provides for opening of the door and pivoting movement of the door with respect to the frame.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2024Date of Patent: May 12, 2026Assignee: Mid-West Metal Products Company, Inc.Inventors: Brad Cantwell, Stew Kerr, Michael Eric Greene

Publication number: 20260076337Abstract: An animal enclosure is coupled to a second animal enclosure. The animal enclosure includes a first member, a second member, a third member, and a fourth member. The first member, second member, third member, and fourth member are at least partially formed by a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. A support frame is coupled to at least two member of the plurality of members. The first member includes a first plurality of wires and a second plurality of wires, the first plurality of wires extending in a first direction and the second plurality of wires extending in a second direction. The first member has at least on U-shaped wire coupled to at least one of the second plurality of wires.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2025Publication date: March 19, 2026Inventors: Stew Kerr, Michael Eric Greene, Scott Alan Henry, David J. Nolley

Publication number: 20260076338Abstract: An animal enclosure assembly includes a plurality of members including at least a first member, a second member, a third member, and a fourth member. The first member, second member, third member, and fourth member are at least partially formed by a plurality of interconnected first plurality and second plurality of wires. The animal enclosure assembly also includes a door assembly movably coupled to one of the plurality of members and releasably coupled to another of the plurality of members. Each of the plurality of members includes a support frame formed by a plurality of support frame members. At least one support frame member has a first end and a second end such that the first end defines an opening configured to receive an end of another enclosure assembly and the second end forms a peg.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2025Publication date: March 19, 2026Inventors: Stew Kerr, Michael Eric Greene, Scott Alan Henry, David J. Publication number: 20240365744Abstract: An animal enclosure includes a door, a door frame, and a plurality of members each formed by a plurality of interconnecting horizontal and vertical wires. The door is movably coupled to the door frame between an open position and a closed position, where in any position except for the closed position an opening formed in the door frame is at least partially exposed to provide access to the interior of the enclosure. A clip is removably coupled to any one of the plurality of members. The clip includes a body formed by a first member, a top member, a base member, a second member, and a finger portion. The finger portion extends downward from the top member to define a first opening between the finger portion, the top member, and the first member.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2024Publication date: November 7, 2024Inventors: Brad Cantwell, Mark E.
