  • Publication number: 20240117138
Abstract: Disclosed are polymeric foamed compositions, foam padded materials that include such polymeric foamed compositions disposed on a sheet material, and packaging articles (e.g., envelopes) made from such foam padded materials. The polymeric foamed composition on the sheet material has a plurality of foamed structures formed from the foamable composition attached to the sheet material by a layer of the foamable composition, and the plurality foam structures each having a hollow core and a foam exterior shell.

  • Patent number: 7875836
Abstract: Components for use in a temperature controlled heatable object are provided in which a temperature sensor is connected to a transmitter such as a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag. The RFID tag is encased in a protective overmolding and connected to the temperature sensor via a mineral insulated cable. An end cap containing a potting material (such as silicone or ceramic) is placed over the temperature sensor and laser welded to a sheathing of the mineral insulated cable. A potting material for use in a heatable object is also provided comprising a silicone-based material that is modified by adding bauxite to increase thermal conductivity.

  • Patent number: 6516687
Abstract: A device for holding a container while removing a twist-on lid for the container. The device includes a horizontal base having a top surface for supporting the bottom of the container. Two vertical elongate legs are secured side-by-side along bottom surfaces thereof to the top surface of the base and the legs extend divergently with respect to each other whereby inner left and right opposing surfaces of the legs, as horizontally viewed therein from the most divergent ends of the legs, face each other to form a wedge for engaging bottom side portions of a container positioned therebetween. An elastic surface is disposed on the left of the inner opposing surfaces for gripping bottom side surfaces of a container engaging and being rotated between the inner opposing surfaces of the legs. The opposing surfaces of the legs extend upwardly from the base in a height of between two to three inches.

  • Patent number: 5618335
Abstract: An air oil separator adapted for attachment to a dry sump type oil pump incorporates a novel centrifuge and air ducting system. The centrifuge is formed of two disks axially spaced on a hollow rotatable shaft with the shaft having small air passages located between the disks that extend radially through to a hollow interior of the shaft. An air duct couples an open end of the centrifuge shaft to an air outlet for exhausting air from the shaft interior to the upper air side of the oil sump. Axially rotating at high speed the centrifuge separates air from inputted oil by throwing the oil to the outer reaches of the housing where the oil exits through an outlet and the separated air is exhausted through the shaft and duct.

  • Patent number: 5531537
Abstract: A cylindrical pin couples a driven member, such as a rotor, to a driving shaft by means of axially and angularly aligned cylindrical grooves in the shaft and driven member defining a cylindrical cavity for receiving the pin. The pin fits in the defined cavity and radially bridges the space between the shaft and the driven member to link the two together. The shaft and pin are formed of a metal having a lower thermal coefficient of expansion characteristic than the metal forming the driven member. Torque, applied by the shaft, is applied to the rotor distributed over a portion of the cylindrical side walls of the pin.

  • Patent number: 4986099
Abstract: A lock (1) is mounted to a door (2) of a safe. The lock (1) comprises a housing (4) slidably mounted to the door (1) and movable in the directions indicated by an arrow (3) between locked and unlocked positions upon actuation of the lock. A lock override system (15) is coupled with the lock (1) and is responsive to an override control signal to cause the housing (4) to move relatively to the door and thereby to cause the lock member (8) to move between its locked and unlocked positions.

  • Patent number: 4349153
Abstract: A spray nozzle is disclosed. The nozzle includes a central opening through which air and material issues. A pair of horns are located on a first center line plane extending through the opening. The outwardly projecting horns include converging air ramps which induce an air flow. The atomizing air openings of the nozzle are positioned outside of opposed sectors which define a predetermined angle and are symmetrical with respect to a center line plane perpendicular to the first diameter. The nozzle limits material deposits and clogging of air openings located in the horns.
