  • Patent number: 11964098
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices, methods of producing such devices, and elements of such devices. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides devices configured for vaporization of an aerosol precursor composition that is contained in a reservoir and transported to a heating element by a liquid transport element. The liquid transport element may include a porous monolith.

  • Patent number: 5361571
Abstract: A magnetic pot stabilizer for multiple twist spindles, includes a protective pot supported by a portion of a rotatable spindle and supporting one or more spools of thread. The pot includes an internal circumferential trough around the perimeter of the bottom surface, and a generally planer circular magnet belt which has a central opening for passage of the spindle therethru and an extended portion carrying spaced pins depending into the trough for separating and locating magnets carried in the trough. Two L-shaped brackets located outside of the pot and curcumferentially spaced around the pot adjustably carry magnet holders each having a plurality of magnets mounted therein which cooperate and coact with the magnets inside the pot to prevent the port from moving when the spindle rotates.

  • Patent number: 4509640
Abstract: The disclosure relates to cartons with separaters which, where the articles to be separated are deep, comprise a lower arrangement of separaters according to the invention in co-operation with a higher arrangement of separaters of known form and supported from a stiff central separater according to the invention. The lower and upper separaters erect automatically when the carton walls are moved from the flat condition to the rectangular condition, the lower ones are extensions of the known Crash-bottom style and arranged to interact together according to the invention to erect the separater forming extensions for separating two or more articles such as glass bottles.

  • Patent number: 4336898
Abstract: This specification discloses a carrier for holding containers having a flange or rim toward an end, the carrier including, a top panel able to lie superimposed over a central part of one side of the flanges to be held and prevent relative displacement of at least one side panel connected to a longitudinal edge of the top panel by a line of hinge, the line of hinge crossing over an outward part of each flange end, the side panel provided with slot cuts each defining an edge of the side panel able to engage the underside of such outward part of the flanges when the side panel is moved angularly toward the containers, the improvement characterized in that the side panel for engaging the flanges is an intermediate single panel stretched tightly around the container below the flanges rather than a clip action which relies upon the resilience of the paperboard alone, or an action which results in the stress resulting from the engagement being divided.

  • Patent number: 4311249
Abstract: A container comprising a sheet metal wall portion (a) having a closure formed therein, the closure comprising a slit (s) in said wall portion (a) the margins of which by cold working have been caused to overlap to provide overlapping surfaces (b), (g) which cooperate to close the container, the wall portion (a) being deformable by manual pressure on a part (c) thereof remote from the closure to move said overlapping surfaces (b), (g) apart to define an opening (q) therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4255782
Abstract: Electrical circuits, apparatus and methods for a variety of applications. A switching device subdivides an alternating current input signal into a plurality of lower voltage pulses by switching on and off in response to the characteristics, such as the voltage and current, of the input signal, and the pulses of current are intermittently passed to a capacitor in series with the device as the voltage on the input signal is positive-going. When the voltage becomes negative-going, the capacitor is discharged, usually with the pulses passing through the switch in the opposite direction. Work is done by energizing the series capacitor, or by energizing a capacitor in parallel with the switch, or by energizing an inductor in parallel or series relation to the switch, or a combination of the above. The inductor may be the primary winding of a transformer, or may create an electrical or magnetic field which is transduced into mechanical motion. The load may also be a resistive load.
