  • Publication number: 20240115997
Abstract: The invention is a system and method for reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions as well as criteria pollutant emissions from a newly constructed crude oil refinery. In preferred embodiments, the present invention processes light crude oil, uses post-combustion CO2 capture on all of the fired sources associated with Scope 1 CO2 emissions; uses on-site power generation that ties in post-combustion CO2 capture to the rest of the facility to fully capture the facility Scope 2 CO2 emissions; uses caustic treating to make refinery fuel gas H2S-free and thus furnace emissions will be SOX-free; uses emerging burner technology that significantly reduces NOX emissions below generally applied technology in the refining industry; uses available VOC capture technology on loading and unloading operations; and uses on-site solar generation to supplement power generation with zero emission supplemental power.

  • Patent number: 11180705
Abstract: A method comprising the steps of feeding condensate to a splitter unit; directing the resulting naphtha product to a naphtha hydrotreater and the resulting diesel product to a diesel hydrotreater; directing ULSD product from the diesel hydrotreater to ULSD storage and naphtha product from the diesel hydrotreater to the naphtha hydrotreater; directing treated naphtha product from the naphtha hydrotreater to a naphtha splitter; isomerizing the light naphtha product and reforming the heavy naphtha product; sending the isomerate and the reformate to a gasoline separator; directing the products to storage.

  • Patent number: 7336181
Abstract: An integrated system for tracking assets (tools and materials) and personnel associated with a work site. Personnel are equipped with tracking devices having at least geolocation capability. Assets are tagged with RFID tags, which are interrogated at portals, by mobile scanners, or by personnel tracking devices having RFID reading capability. The tag readers and tracking devices are all in communication with a common “information backbone” and all data is delivered to, and processed by, a common command and control subsystem.

Date of Patent: February 26, 2008
    Assignee: Zachry Construction Corporation
Inventors: Brent M. Nowak, Michael F. Milam, Myron L. Moodie, Kenneth A. Oleson, Michael J. Lake, Sandra G. Dykes, Larry D. Canady, Charles A. Poer, John E. Fike, Jr.
