Abstract: A hinge assembly is mountable on first and second large drums or barrels so that the first drum or barrel can be lifted or raised to drain liquid from the first drum or barrel into the second drum or barrel. The hinge assembly includes inner and outer plates which clamp to the rim of each drum to secure the hinge assembly to the drums. The plates may be adjustable to fit different rim dimensions. The hinge assembly does not penetrate, damage or alter the drums. An optional handle can be mounted to the hinge assembly to facilitate lifting of the first drum.

Abstract: An attachment system to attach a hood to a garment wherein the hood has a first portion to be attached adjacent an upper portion of a wearer's torso on a right side and a second portion to be attached adjacent the upper portion of the wearer's torso on a left side. The attachment system includes a first right side connector attached to the first portion of the hood and a second right side connector attached to the garment adjacent in use the first right side connector. The attachment system also includes a first left side connector attached to the second portion of the hood and a second left side connector attached to the garment adjacent in use the first left side connector. The first right and left connectors are attachable to the second right and left connectors by magnetism.

Abstract: In a directional drilling apparatus in which a sensor/transmitter or sonde is located in one section of a drill string and an element of an adjacent section is configured to “steer” the bore drilled in a predetermined lateral direction, a device is provided for automatically ensuring correct registry or alignment of the sensor/transmitter and the steerable element, this device comprising an azimuth member on the section carrying the sensor/transmitter engageable with a reference member of the adjoining section to present, after such engagement, relative rotation of the azimuth member, which is rotatable in the section carrying it, with the sensor/transmitter, but non-rotatably connected with the sonde. The reference member or the azimuth member is resiliently displaceable axially to allow the two sections to be screwed up together.
