Patent number: 10899551Abstract: A conveyor bed is provided that can include a conveyor frame, a roller frame and an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism can include a first wheel movable on a first rail and a second wheel movable on a second rail. A sled can be coupled to a bottom face of the roller frame, where an inner face of the sled is in contact with the first wheel and the first rail and an outer face of the sled is in contact with the second wheel and the second rail. An actuable component coupled to the sled, wherein the actuable component is configured to move the sled back and forth linearly along the first rail using the first wheel in response to rotation of the actuable component, wherein a movement of the sled rotates the second wheel and pivots the second rail to alter an angle of the roller frame.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2019Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: Intelligrated Headquarters, LLCInventors: Brandon Fuller, Thomas Michael Ferner, Frank Pellegrino

Patent number: 10661992Abstract: A material handling system automatically each picking orders using a put wall. A controller determines whether any of more than one removable intermediate holders in a put wall that are within the reach of a first robotic arm contain one or more articles that are ready for transporting away from the put wall. The controller directs the first robotic arm to: (i) engage the selected removable intermediate holder, (ii) move the selected removable intermediate holder to an empty order container, and (iii) reorient the selected removable intermediate holder to transfer the one or more articles from the selected removable intermediate holder to the empty order container. In one or more embodiments, the articles can be placed in the put wall by conveying donor totes to an each picking robotic arm that places picked articles into an end effector of a second robotic arm.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2019Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: INTELLIGRATED HEADQUARTERS, LLCInventors: Matthew R. Wicks, David E. Franklin, Thomas Michael Ferner

Patent number: 10065811Abstract: A robotic carton unloader for unloading a carton pile resting on a floor includes a mobile body movable across the floor on more than one wheel. A conveyor system mounted on the mobile body conveys unloaded cartons thereon. A robotic arm assembly has a manipulator head attached to a front end of the upper arm assembly. The manipulator head engages at least one carton at a time from a carton pile resting on a floor for movement to the conveyor system. A built-in jacking apparatus is extendable from the mobile body to a floor to raise the mobile body a distance sufficient to raise at least one of the more than one wheel away from contacting the floor.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2017Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: INTELLIGRATED HEADQUARTERS, LLCInventors: Michael Donovan McCarthy, Michael L. Patent number: 5512129Abstract: A method for regenerating alkaline solutions for pickling aluminum is provided, by which aluminum hydroxide is recovered. A pickling solution containing aluminum hydroxide, aluminate and a complexing agent and further additives is transferred from a pickling bath into a reactor section, which consists of at least one reactor where aluminum is precipitated as aluminum hydroxide. The pickling bath has a higher temperature than the reactor section. The process is operated so that the concentration of aluminate, alkali and gluconate as well as the temperature in the pickling bath, on the one hand, and the temperature gradient from the pickling bath to the reactor section, on the other hand, are adjusted so that the pickling solution in the pickling bath is undersaturated or metastably supersaturated with respect to precipitation of aluminum hydroxide, however, unstably supersaturated in the reactor section. A device for carrying out the process of the invention is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1994Date of Patent: April 30, 1996Assignee: Josef Gartner & Co.Inventors: Dieter Brodalla, Roland Fransson, Herbert Breunig, Michael Ferner
