  • Publication number: 20070206322
Abstract: Stiffness reducing features for top covers of data storage systems are provided to prevent delaminating of top layers of the top covers. A top cover for a data storage system includes a bottom layer, a top layer and an adhesive layer that interconnects the top and bottom layers. At least one groove is formed in and extends along the top layer. The at least one groove reduces a thickness of the top layer along the at least one groove.

  • Publication number: 20070118278
Abstract: A method is disclosed for representing locations in a geographic database in a manner that facilitates navigation and routing. A core map database includes data that represents public roads in a geographic region. Each of a plurality of location map databases includes data that represent facilities, such as businesses, stores, offices, or other places, that are physically located away from the public network and access to which requires travel on paths away from the public road network. Each of the facilities represented in the location map databases is assigned a location reference code that is associated with data from which a path connecting the facility and the public road network can be determined.

  • Publication number: 20040158460
Abstract: A method and a device for operating a voice-enhancement system, such as a communication and/or intercom/two-way intercom or duplex telephony device in a motor vehicle, having at least one microphone and at least one loudspeaker for reproducing a signal generated by the microphone, as well as a bandpass filter configured between the microphone and the loudspeaker, the bandpass filter being adjusted as a function of a comparison between the power of the signal generated by the microphone at a test frequency, and the power of the signal generated by the microphone at an at least substantially integral multiple of the test frequency, or as a function of a comparison between the power of the signal generated by the microphone at a test frequency, and the power of the signal generated by the microphone at the test frequency at at least an earlier point in time.

  • Patent number: 6648587
Abstract: A material delivery system is disclosed which is particularly useful for filtered environments, such as clean rooms, minienvironments, or the like. One aspect of this particular material delivery system is that movement of an elevator is automatically controlled (i.e., no operator input), and more preferably is accomplished by monitoring for the presence of containers at multiple vertical positions. Another aspect of this particular material delivery system is that its elevator may be installed on and removed from a main housing of the material delivery system without requiring any tools. Yet another aspect of this particular material delivery system is that containers need not be unloaded from the material delivery system prior to removing its elevator, such as for replacement/maintenance purposes.
