Abstract: A method of calculating an ecosystem services index score, comprising: receiving area of interest information from a user of an ecosystem services index calculating system; assigning an ecoaddress to the area of interest by a processor of the system; retrieving ecosystem services information about the area of interest from at least one database; retrieving ecosystem services information about the area of interest on at least one scale size larger or smaller than the area of interest from at least one database; and, deriving a multi-scale ecosystem services index score blending the retrieved ecosystem services information about the area of interest.

Abstract: A vehicle washing apparatus having a frame suspended from the ceiling and adapted for encircling a vehicle, the frame being capable of being raised and lowered with respect to the vehicle and provided with nozzles for ejecting fluid against the vehicle to clean the vehicle. A pair of overhead bars extend transversely of the vehicle and are supported for traveling longitudinally with respect to the vehicle, the overhead bars being provided with nozzles for ejecting fluid onto the top of the vehicle. The overhead bars are movable towards and away from one another to wash the entire top of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle washing apparatus is provided in which two U-shaped frames suspend a rectangular frame in an overhead arrangement. In the rectangular frame is supported a piston and cylinder arrangement which controls the playing out of four lines which are guided by pulleys to a vertical attitude suspending an open frame adapted for being lowered and raised. In lowered position, the frame encircles a vehicle and sprays the same with water and a cleaning fluid. For this purpose, the frame is provided with inwardly directed nozzles which are accommodated in a channel provided in the open frame. The water and cleaning fluid are stored in two tanks connected to two pumps which are connected by two lines to the open frame and the nozzles therein. The piston and cylinder arrangement is operated by compressed air.

Abstract: A car washer and dryer installation in which a shroud is suspended from a frame and is controlled to be lowered and raised relative to an automobile which is to be washed and dried. A source of water and chemical cleaner is connected to the shroud and is selectively operated to enable a wetting operation to take place as the shroud is lowered during a first cycle and to enable chemical cleaner and water to be applied during the first cycle as the shroud is raised. Between the first cycle and a second cycle is provided an open period during which manual operations on the automobile may take place. Then, an alarm is sounded to indicate that the second cycle is about to take place whereafter the shroud is lowered and raised in order to rinse the car. A drying apparatus is applied in the form of a hood which may be raised by a piston assembly but which is otherwise permitted to rest on the automobile through the intermediary of a roller.
