    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of editing configuration data (KD) for telecommunications systems in accordance with editing rules (ER1, ER2) as well as to an editor (EM), a computer, a control module, and a storage means for carrying out such a method. First, a set of editing rules (ER2) is determined which contains at least one editing rule for editing configuration data. The editor reads and interprets this set of editing rules. If predefined values for the configuration data are to be edited, the editor reads these values. The editor then edits the configuration data in accordance with the set of editing rules and subsequently outputs the configuration data.
