Abstract: A system and methods for functional brain mapping is provided. The method includes providing a set of time-series functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data acquired from a brain of a subject while performing a functional task and decomposing the set of time-series fMRI data into a set of task signals and a set of non-task signals using a model related to the functional task performed by the subject. The method also includes generating a task activity map using the set of task signals and generating a non-task activity map using the set of non-task signals. The method further includes producing a combination map by selectively weighting the task activity map and non-task activity map, and combining the selectively weighted maps, using a statistical parameter, in dependence of a threshold.

Abstract: A modular filtration frame assembly is provided for holding components of a pipe system and filtration system. The modular frame assembly comprises a skid formed by a base and a central spine. The base has at least two legs and at least one lateral support disposed between the two legs, and the central spine has two uprights and at least one cross bar disposed between the two uprights. A component support member is attached to the central spine for supporting components of the pipe system. In the modular frame assembly, the base, central spine and component supports can be formed by selecting from predetermined and presized components in response to the design and size of the pipe system and filtration system. The component support member holds predetermined components of the pipe and filtration system having a predetermined centerline at the same vertical distance from the cross bar, thereby maintaining the same centerline for all pipe system components supported by the skid regardless of component diameter.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel substituted bridged urea compounds, corresponding related analogs, pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use thereof. Sirtuin-modulating compounds of the present invention may be used for increasing the lifespan of a cell, and treating and/or preventing a wide variety of diseases and disorders, which include, but are not limited to, for example, diseases or disorders related to aging or stress, diabetes, obesity, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disease, blood clotting disorders, inflammation, cancer, and/or flushing as well as diseases or disorders that would benefit from increased mitochondrial activity. The present invention also related to compositions comprising a sirtuin-modulating compound in combination with another therapeutic agent.

Abstract: A golf club head having a face with a face center and a center face measured performance variable, which may be a characteristic time, or CT, value, a coefficient of restitution, or COR, value, or a potential smash factor. The face includes a center face permanent indicia that is indicative of the center face measured performance variable. Relationships among the permanent indicia and the face are disclosed to reduce the likelihood of distraction caused by the permanent indicia as a golfer addresses a shot. Further, the surface roughness of the permanent indicia is controlled with respect to the surface roughness of the face to reduce the impact that the permanent indicia has on the performance of the golf club head.

Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed for providing electrical current and/or voltage sensor probes or tags integrated with measurement circuitry. For example, an electrical sensor is provided that includes a probe adapted to be arranged to at least partially encircle a conductor to be measured, wherein the probe has a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end terminating in a base portion that houses measurement circuitry. The base portion may also include electrical components suitable for displaying, wirelessly transmitting, and/or otherwise conveying the measured electrical parameters. In some embodiments, the distal end of the probe may be removably received by the base portion, such that the probe forms a loop encircling the conductor when measuring it. In other embodiments, the probe may resiliently clip on to the conductor. In another example, an electrical sensor includes an attachable tag that can be mounted to the conductor to be measured.

Abstract: A towing attachment for a for a forklift is described. The towing attachment includes a main frame for locating the attachment on a fork assembly of a forklift, a towing hitch assembly on the main frame for connection to a towed article; and one or more connectors mounted on the main frame for connecting the main frame to a forklift body or forklift chassis wherein the one or more connectors are adapted to transfer towing forces on the towing attachment to the forklift body or forklift chassis.

Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed for providing a device attachment configured to releasably attach to and provide infrared imaging functionality to mobile phones or other portable electronic devices. For example, a device attachment may include a housing with a tub on a rear surface thereof shaped to at least partially receive a user device, an infrared sensor assembly disposed within the housing and configured to capture thermal infrared image data, and a processing module communicatively coupled to the infrared sensor assembly and configured to transmit the thermal infrared image data to the user device. Thermal infrared image data may be captured by the infrared sensor assembly and transmitted to the user device by the processing module in response to a request transmitted by an application program or other software/hardware routines running on the user device.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for measurement devices and methods to obtain various physical and/or electrical parameters in an integrated manner. For example, a measurement device may include a housing, an optical emitter, a sensor, a distance measurement circuit, a length measurement circuit, an electrical meter circuit, a display, an infrared imaging module, and/or a non-thermal imaging module. The device may be conveniently carried and utilized by users to perform a series of distance measurements, wire length measurements, electrical parameter measurements, and/or fault inspections, in an integrated manner without using multiple different devices. In one example, electricians may utilize the device to perform installation of electrical wires and/or other tasks at various locations (e.g., electrical work sites). In another example, electricians may utilize the device to view a thermal image of one or more scenes at such locations for locating potential electrical faults.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a curing box including a circulation assembly which substantially eliminates temperature stratification of a first fluid within the box. Additionally, the curing box includes an internal temperature sensor and an external temperature sensor which provide data to a control module. The control module permits adjustment of the fluid temperature within the box. The present disclosure additionally provides a method for curing a specimen in the curing box. The method compares the temperature signal from the external sensor to the internal sensor and adjusts the temperature of the fluid in the box to match the temperature reported by the external sensor. Additionally, the method controls the flow of a second fluid into the box thereby circulating the first fluid to substantially eliminate temperature stratification of the first fluid in the box. Thus, the method provides a controlled environment for curing the specimen.

Abstract: Various techniques are provided to monitor electrical equipment. In some implementations, a monitoring system for a cabinet may include an infrared camera configured to capture thermal images of at least a portion of electrical equipment positioned in an interior cavity of the cabinet. In some implementations, the monitoring system also includes a communication interface configured to transmit the thermal images from the infrared camera for external viewing by a user. In some implementations, the thermal images may be provided through various wired and wireless communication techniques. In some implementations, the infrared camera may receive electrical power through a physical coupling to an electrical connector within the cabinet and/or through electromagnetic energy harvesting techniques.
