  • Patent number: 12265587
Abstract: Connections among two different entities are identified by processing a collection of documents to identify one or more documents that contain co-occurring mentions of each of the two different entities. This relationship may be graphically displayed in a user interface with an icon or the like for each of the two entities, along with a graphical link interconnecting the entities. The graphical link can be an active element of the user interface that responds to user interactions by providing access to evidence within the collection of documents that substantiates the connection between the two entities. In one aspect, a search input form field in a user interface may be used to explicitly request documents that substantiate a relationship between two entities. In another aspect, a user may ground entity mentions by explicitly selecting documents that mention an entity of interest.

  • Publication number: 20250103497
Abstract: A cache coherent interconnect connected to one or more agents, such as CPUs, GPUS, Peripherals, etc. using network interface units (NIUs), and having one or more internal modules, such as a directory, is provided with one or more event-to-message converters, and one or more message-to-event converters. When a particular event occurs within one of the agents or modules, a message is initiated and transmitted using the existing interconnect wiring to one or more agents or modules, which have associated NIUs, that need to be aware of the event. Response messages showing the status of the event-message may also be generated. Therefore, messages are sent when events occur, instead of constantly using bandwidth for status updates when no status is changing, making the interconnect more efficient and freeing up bandwidth. These converters are provided as additional hardware blocks incorporated into the various NIUs and modules.

  • Patent number: 12257464
Abstract: A fire prevention system for a building. The fire protection system has an inlet duct having an interior end and an exterior end. An air handler is disposed at the interior end of the inlet duct to provide air from outside the building to the air handler. A flame arrester is located at the exterior end of the inlet duct to prevent burning embers from entering the inlet duct. The fire protection system also includes an interior duct system for distributing air from the air handler through the building. Distribution vents in the interior duct system allow flow of air from the interior duct system to the interior of the building to raise the pressure in the building above the outside pressure. Exhaust vents to allow flow of air out of the building. Also, a method for fire prevention for a building exposed to a fire.

  • Publication number: 20250092918
Abstract: Drivetrains and constant velocity joints for recreational vehicles are disclosed. These joints comprise a housing, an aperture for connecting with an axle, and interior components for rotatably connecting the axle to the housing. Various retention mechanisms improve the retention of constant velocity joints, including hydraulic-based, disc-based, pin-based, spline-based, and spring ring-based mechanisms. Hydraulic-based systems utilize adjustable hydraulic pressure for maintaining engagement. Disc-based mechanisms employ a conical disc that provides additional frictional force to resist pull-out forces. Pin-based retention involves drive pads or pins and corresponding tracks or grooves in the shaft interfacing gear. Spline-based mechanisms include a toolless locking half shaft retention system with rotating, interrupted splines. Spring ring-based retention features multiple flexible retaining rings placed axially along the spline, providing improved shaft retention.

  • Publication number: 20250083978
Abstract: Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are destroyed by oxidation in supercritical conditions. PFAS in water can be concentrated and prepared for destruction in a pretreatment phase. Following annihilation of the PFAS in supercritical conditions to levels below 5 parts per trillion (ppt), the water effluent can be used to recover heat, returned to sub-critical conditions, and then released back into the environment.

  • Patent number: 12175439
Abstract: An image of a check may be presented for payment in a banking system in place of the physical paper check. The check to be deposited can be collected from a depositor using a scanner. A web site, accessed through a depositor's web browser, can be used to drive the process of collecting the check, but in some contexts (e.g., in less popular computing environments, such as those that do not run the most popular operating systems), it is economically infeasible to obtain the certificates that would be used to allow a program executing in the web browser to control the scanner. Thus, a depositor can be instructed to capture and upload images of the check in the form of files, where the image files are then presented for payment through a banking system.
