  • Patent number: 11806637
Abstract: A propeller-driven rocket has a body that is divided into multiple pieces. During the launch and climb, the body reaction to the torque of the propeller keeps the body panels pressed into their initial orientation. At the apex of flight, or a predetermined time from launch, the propeller reverses direction for short period of time. This reverses the forces on the body panels, causing them to release outward. The body panels are hinged such that they may form a rotor for an auto-rotating, controlled descent.

  • Publication number: 20140094090
Abstract: Propulsion apparatus comprises a rotating drive member having an axis of rotation, and a reversible motor coupled to the rotating drive member to rotate the drive member in first and second directions is described. A mounting arrangement is configured to pivotally mount the rotating drive member onto a toy about a mount axis, and at least one pivot stop mechanism is provided. Operation of the reversible motor rotates the drive member in the first direction causing the drive member to pivot about the mount axis to a first position defined by a pivot stop mechanism and provide a propulsion force in a first propulsion direction. Operation of the reversible motor to rotate the drive member in the second direction causes the drive member to pivot about the mount axis to a second position defined by a pivot stop mechanism and provide a propulsion force in a second propulsion direction.

  • Patent number: 7212516
Abstract: A network spanning heterogeneous call center system and method of operation is disclosed. A particular illustrative system is for use with a circuit-switched private branch exchange and a packet-switched private branch exchange. This system includes a circuit-switched private branch exchange interface, a packet-switched private branch exchange interface, and a processor. The circuit-switched private branch exchange interface is to communicate with the circuit-switched private branch exchange, and the packet-switched private branch exchange interface is to communicate with the packet-switched private branch exchange. The processor is coupled to the circuit-switched private branch exchange interface and to the packet-switched private branch exchange interface.

  • Patent number: 4827687
Abstract: A ceiling mounting system for assembly with a building structure is described, the system including a mounting channel having a web for mounting of a ceiling panel, the channel also having two opposed generally upright legs having top edge portions. The legs extend upwardly from the web to the top edge portions. An elongated support member in the shape of an inverted channel is supported by the building structure and extends transverse to the mounting channel, the elongated support member including two lower edge portions and two support means integral with the lower edge portions, the support means being located at the lower edge portions and being spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the mounting channel to resist twisting of the mounting channel relative to the support member when the mounting channel is engaged with and supported by the two spaced support means.
