  • Patent number: 11933500
Abstract: A hob comprises a hob plate, heating devices therebelow and a flat, two-dimensional carrier plate for the heating devices which runs parallel to the hob plate and has an upper face, said carrier plate bearing the heating devices on said upper face and fixedly holding said heating devices in position. Holding means are provided on the upper face of the carrier plate for each heating device. Each heating device has at least one laterally protruding holding tab, wherein each holding tab has latching means and the holding means have counter latching means for a latching connection with these latching means. The latching connection has clearance in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the carrier plate.

  • Patent number: 9077316
Abstract: A finite impulse response (FIR) extractor includes at least one controller. The controller injects specified FIR tap values into a first captured waveform that results from transmitting a raw waveform through a transmitter circuit including a FIR filter having pre and post cursor tap values set to zero to create an expected waveform, and injects the specified FIR tap values into the raw waveform to create an ideal waveform. The controller further projects the expected and ideal waveforms onto a second captured waveform that results from transmitting the ideal waveform through the transmitter circuit with the pre and post cursor tap values set to the specified FIR tap values to create a compensated waveform, and extracts FIR tap values from the compensated waveform.

  • Publication number: 20150153326
Abstract: A method for a microscope-based quantitative analysis of contact-dependent cell-to-cell transfer between cells. Single donor cells containing a traceable marker are cultured in a lawn of acceptor cells to allow cell-to-cell transfers. The donor and acceptor cells are then imaged and/or stained for microscopy to determine the location, shape and volumes of donor cells and of surrounding acceptor cells within selected regions of interest. The spatial distribution of the traceable marker in each volumetric picture element of the region of interest is determined and analyzed to determine quantitatively and qualitatively the substance transfer. The method allows a reliable quantitative evaluation of the effect of an active agent on cell-to-cell molecular communication and disease transmission.

  • Patent number: 8434541
Abstract: A pressing module for the press-forming and curing of impregnated conductor bars for large electrical machines, such as for example hydro generators, can be distinguished by an improved closing system for applying the pressing pressure, and a pressing apparatus equipped therewith, the handling of which involves significantly reduced work. A pressing module (1) has a pressing vat (2) for applying a horizontal pressing force and a pressing yoke (3) for applying a vertical pressing force. The closing units (6) and (7) for applying the horizontal and vertical pressing forces have a housing (20), which receives, slidingly mounted therein, a pressing piston (21), which is in operative connection with an axially fixed, rotatable threaded bolt (27) in such a way that a turning movement of the threaded bolt (27) brings about an axial movement of the pressing piston (21). An axial bearing (3), supported on a spring assembly (35), provides a flexible mounting of the pressing piston (21).
