Abstract: A security lock hardware box is provided for installation in a door sash. The lock hardware box is installed in a door sash for receiving locking hardware. It has a body part having first chamber for receiving a door latching mechanism, and a second chamber for receiving a door locking mechanism. Front and rear cover plates securable over the front and rear face of the body part with respective openings and holes to receive the locking and latching mechanisms. The body part has protrusions for fitting within the door sash, the length of which can be greater to provide greater strength and security regardless of the size of the lock hardware box or the size of the door sash that can accommodate the lockbox.
