Patent number: 9120620Abstract: A flexible bulk container includes side walls coupled to a bottom wall. The side walls and the bottom wall generally enclose an interior space that is accessible through a top of the flexible bulk container for loading materials therein. A support structure includes elongate frame elements. Each of the frame elements may be attached to at least one of the side walls and is configured to support the at least one of the side walls generally upright so that the flexible bulk container is maintained in a generally open position. Each of the frame elements may be detachable from the respective at least one of the side walls. The flexible bulk containers and the support structures may be used in a waste management system for loading and sorting of bulk waste materials.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2010Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: BETTER BAGS INTERNATIONAL CORP.Inventors: Robert P. Warren, Michael G. Sirois, Roderick D. Muir, Philip Streets

Patent number: 8152149Abstract: A portable workbench includes top members, a support structure, a frame, wheels and a toe plate. The top members lie in a common plane and define a working surface with opposing side portions that define clamping surfaces. The support structure supports the top members and permits selectively traversing at least one of the pair of top members toward another to permit a workpiece to be clamped therebetween. The frame includes collapsible legs. The wheels and toe plate are coupled to the frame adjacent to each other. The workbench is positionable in a raised position, a collapsed position and a hand truck position. The toe plate is movable from a retracted position to an extended position to permit the portable workbench to be employed as a hand truck.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2006Date of Patent: April 10, 2012Assignee: Black & Decker Inc.Inventors: Mark Lawrence, Michael G. Publication number: 20100193534Abstract: A sealable bin for collecting waste biomass in a household kitchen comprising a container for receiving biomass, a sealable lid for placement over the container, venting means for circulating air within the waste biomass, and a handle. Venting means is contained in the lid. The inside surfaces of the container have a series of parallel features comprising either channels or projections in order create pathways into and out of the container for aeration of the biomass and dehumidifying of the biomass so as to deter anaerobic decomposition and odours.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2010Publication date: August 5, 2010Inventors: COLIN ROBERTS, Robert D. Watters, Romeo Graham, Michael G. Sirois

Patent number: 7640941Abstract: A brush and roller cleaner includes a hollow canister to receive a spray wand. A control knob pivots with respect to the canister to direct pressurized liquid from apertures of the spray wand. A top cap assembly mates with the canister in one of two positions, 180 degrees offset from one another. The top cap assembly has a tool holding assembly that is capable of holding a paint tool or roller. The tool holding assembly rotates in response to the liquid output from the spray wand apertures. The top cap assembly is capable of holding a roller in a first or second position. The roller rotates within the canister in response to the liquid output from the spray wand apertures to clean the roller cover. A handle for the cleaner supports a roller frame clip for holding the roller in a first or second position.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2006Date of Patent: January 5, 2010Assignee: Black & Decker, Inc.Inventors: Robert D. Watters, Romeo Graham, Joseph Luc Boucher, Michael G. Sirois, Tracine Andrus
