  • Patent number: 5758685
Abstract: A portable hose cart apparatus for windably holding a flexible hose and for transporting thereof. The cart includes a pair of vertical side frames shaped in the form of flanking arms each having a hub bearing surface. The frame provides a base structure for steel components that are secured by use of rotatable frame fasteners. The steel is encompassed by a seamless plastic sleeve that shrinks to the steel through a heating process. Distal ends of the steel are bound by use of a wedge shaped locking block which frictionally secures the steel tubes to forward and upper support members. A spool assembly is positioned between the frame sides forming a hose support surface therebetween, the frame sides having a shape to minimize plastic material yet maximize support when the cart is being transported.

  • Patent number: 5706737
Abstract: A multi-purpose storage apparatus having interchangeable shelving for use in storage of sporting goods is disclosed. Shelf construction consists of rod members or alternatively, shelf construction may consist of a single plastic piece having steel tubes integrated into the shelf. In this manner, the consumer may construct a shelf configuration for a particular sporting item. Structural rigidity is provided through the rod members having steel tubing that is encapsulated in a plastic sleeve through a manufacturing process while the plastic shelf has the steel tube directly integrated. The storage apparatus is secured to a wall and includes provisions for support of a bicycle, as well as miscellaneous small items through the use of a support tray.

  • Patent number: 5704384
Abstract: The hose cart with tray of the present invention is of a shape and design allowing preassembly thereby eliminating the need for instruction manuals and associated product packaging necessary of hose carts that are sold in an unassembled state. The hose cart employs a single unitary frame for support of a flexible garden hose to be wound into a coil of multiple layers by use of a directional stress relieving hose reel spool. Reel flanges are oblong shaped for holding of the hose within the formed spool yet providing the nesting ability for assembled carts. A handle is foldable for storage with locks concealed within the base of the handle, and a foldable storage tray which is pivotally attached to a bracket mounted to the handle crossbar. Syringe type hub attachments are further disclosed for removal and maintenance of the water seals without tools.

  • Patent number: 5553712
Abstract: The instant invention is a container designed specifically for storing and displaying trading cards. The container has a main storage area, a hidden storage area, and a display floor. Construction allows for the stackability of containers by use of a lower tab which engages a peripheral edge formed by molded indicia placed on the upper surface. The main storage compartment of the container includes two fixed dividers allowing for placement of trading cards along the longitudinal length of the container wherein slots are provided for placement of loose leaf dividers allowing for individual separation. Between the two fixed dividers is another storage area having an increased depth which allows for placement of oversized cards or specialty cards. When the lid is placed in an open position, the handle operates as a stand and the bottom surface of the lid provides a card display area.

  • Patent number: 5464115
Abstract: The present invention is a footlocker of molded plastic construction which includes a bin having a storage cavity and a lid hinged to the bin for enclosing the storage cavity. Two plastic latches are used to secure the lid in its closed relation above the bin. Each of the latches includes a face plate with a front surface which preferably has graphic indicia molded therein. In order to lock the lid in its closed position and thereby safeguard the contents of the bin, the footlocker preferably includes a padlock hasp. In order to hold the lid open in any position, the footlocker includes a lid stay mechanism connected between the lid and the bin. The bin has a plurality of continuously molded feet and the top surface of the lid a plurality of stacking depressions molded therein for receiving the feet and thereby enabling multiple footlockers to be stacked on top of one another.
