  • Publication number: 20070053780
Abstract: An electro-hydraulic power unit with an improved hydraulic fluid flow through the unit. The unit accomplishes the improved fluid flow by having an inlet port in a housing that is fluidly connected to an electric motor that has a rotor with vanes cast thereon and at least one opening within the rotor. A hydraulic pump inlet is fluidly connected to the electric motor such that the vanes of the electric motor will supply hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump inlet.

  • Publication number: 20060273824
Abstract: A power switching assembly includes a circuit board mounted on an insulating substrate, a power switching transistor having a mounting surface mounted to the circuit board and a top surface located opposite the mounting surface, and a heat sink associated with the top surface of the power switching transistor, the heat sink operating to dissipate thermal energy from the top surface of the power switching transistor. The power switching assembly forms a part of a current inverter electrically connected between a direct current power source and an alternating current motor on a vehicle. The current inverter is adapted to converts DC current into three phase AC energy.

  • Publication number: 20050226737
Abstract: A combination of a bull nose type and slipper type axial piston pumps. The pseudo slipper axial piston pump has an elongated piston body with a bore disposed therethrough. The bore has a spring within to create a hold down mechanism. Swivelably connected to the piston body is a pseudo slipper that engages an anti-frictional thrust bearing having first and second race elements in parallel relation with a bearing element therebetween. The anti-frictional thrust bearing then controls the angle of the swashplate.

  • Publication number: 20050218733
Abstract: An electrical conductor is provided for a fluid filled motor having a housing. The electrical conductor comprises insulating elements received by a passage extending through the housing, and a terminal bolt passing through the insulating elements. The electrical conductor further comprises sealing means between the terminal bolt, insulating elements, and the housing, and a fastening nut secured to the terminal bolt compressing the sealing means to seal against fluid flow through the passage. A method of sealing said electrical conductor through the housing of a fluid filled motor also is provided.

  • Publication number: 20050194052
Abstract: A hydraulic cartridge valve is provided that is moveably received within a manifold in fluid communication with a hydraulic unit, such as that which drives heavy machinery. The present invention comprises a solenoid coil secured to and operatively connected to the hydraulic cartridge valve. In addition, a circuit board is secured to and in electronic communication with the solenoid coil. A controller area network is electronically connected to the circuit board such that a computer controls the operation of the solenoid coil, thereby controlling the performance of the hydraulic cartridge valve. The solenoid coil is secured to the cartridge valve by a securing nut and has a plurality of pins for directly mounting the coil to the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20050175479
Abstract: An electro-hydraulic power unit is disclosed that includes a housing filled with hydraulic fluid. A hydraulic power unit is disposed within the housing, the power unit having a mechanical power shaft. Additionally, an electric machine is disposed within the housing adjacent to the hydraulic power unit, the electric machine having a rotor secured to the mechanical power shaft of the hydraulic power unit. Hydraulic fluid within the housing passes over the electric machine, thus cooling the electric machine and providing for improved efficiency and performance.
