The controller includes processing circuitry configured to: receive a plurality of system setting groups for controlling a plurality of premises devices where each system setting group including at least one respective device setting for each of the plurality of premises devices, determine at least one setting characteristic, the at least one setting characteristic including a calendar date, and select one of the plurality of system settings groups for controlling the plurality of premises devices based on the determined at least one setting characteristic. The controller includes a transceiver configured to transmit a control signal to each of the plurality of premises devices to control the plurality of premises devices according to the selected one of the plurality of system setting groups.

The biometric information is associated with the user in possession of the user device. The processor is also caused to analyze the received biometric information to determine whether the user in possession of the device is a person authorized to access the security system with the user device. If the user is determined to be authorized, the user is allowed to access the security system.

The device includes processing circuitry configured to capture media of a premises device in the premises system where the captured media indicates at least one of a status and diagnostic information associated with the premises device. The processing circuitry is further configured to, if the captured media matches at least one predefined criterion: output at least one of an audio and visual translation of the captured media.

Abstract: Systems and methods of device maintenance reporting via a wireless protocol are provided. Systems can include a central station and a plurality of remote systems such that the central station is in wireless bidirectional communication with each of the plurality of remote systems. When the central station receives a maintenance signal from a first of the plurality of remote systems, the central station can poll each of the plurality of remote systems located within a predetermined distance of a location of the first of the plurality of remote systems. The central station can also determine whether a maintenance need exists for each of the plurality of remote systems located within the predetermined distance.

Abstract: A regional monitoring system includes wireless units, or detectors which can be associated with a displaced regional monitoring control element. Local feedback provided at the unit or detector for the installer. The units, or detectors can include all devices which can usefully be coupled to the monitoring control element. Examples, without limitation include all types of ambient condition detectors, motion detectors, location detectors, glass break detectors and the like. A light emitting diode carried by a respective unit can be activated to output a selected color when the unit has been successfully enrolled, and in communication with the monitoring control element.

The angular back plate is bifurcated at an acute angle and the backplate further includes an angular raised portion which is similarly bifurcated at an acute angle and positioned in mating relation with the angular back plate. The raised portion is recessed from top, bottom and side edges of the angular back plate. The raised portion has planar front portions in angular relation to each other and enclosing the raised portion. The back plate is mounted to a corner defined by the wall frames using back plate holes. The angular raised portion mates with a building material affixed to the building wall frame. One of the planar front portions of the angular raised portion defines a hole for passing the wire therethrough.

Abstract: A monitoring system and method of monitoring a predetermined maintenance event including one or more sensors for transmitting an alert signal of the predetermined maintenance event to a transceiver device and messaging device which may be included in a control panel. The transceiver device receives the alert signal transmission from the sensor, and the messaging device transmits an alert message to a receiving device. The receiving device may be embodied as a pager or a cell phone for notifying a user of the predetermined maintenance event.

The security device further comprises a contact switch adapted to provide a closed signal to a security system when the contact switch is in proximity to the magnetic member and an open signal when the contact switch is not in proximity to the magnetic member.
