Patent number: 8913247Abstract: A device for interferometric vibration measurement, having a radiation source for generating an original beam, a first beam splitter for dividing it into measuring and reference beams, a detector and a focusing device. The measuring beam at least partly reflected by the object and the reference beam are superimposed on a detection area of the detector, and the focusing device in the beam path of the measuring beam between the image unit and object focuses it onto a measuring point. Here, a measuring beam having a wavelength greater than 1100 nm is generated and the device has an image unit for two-dimensional imaging of the object surrounding the measuring point. The measuring beam focus lies in the focal plane of the image unit and, by use of the focusing device, the focal point of the measuring beam and the focal plane of the imaging unit are displaceable simultaneously.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2010Date of Patent: December 16, 2014Assignee: Polytec GmbHInventors: Christian Rembe, Alexander Dräbenstedt, Michael Gartner, Mike Herberich, Andreas Leonhardt

Patent number: 8326491Abstract: A method and a device for acquiring a value of a defined reference point of a first variable which is measured by an incrementally measuring sensor of a motor vehicle are disclosed. The method includes the step of acquiring intermediate values of the defined reference point in at least two detection modules using at least one second measured variable, wherein each detection module is adapted to determine a value of the defined reference point of the first variable in a pre-defined driving situation. A quality level for each intermediate value is determined. The quality levels of the intermediate values are compared. The value of the defined reference point is determined from the acquired intermediate values in accordance with a result of the compared quality levels.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2007Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Assignee: Continental Teves AG & Co. oHGInventor: Michael Gärtner

Patent number: 8170746Abstract: A method for identifying unstable driving states is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: (a) detecting whether the magnitude of a difference between a first value of a driving state variable that is detected by means of a first sensor, and a second value of the driving states variable that is calculated from measured values of at least one further sensor, increases over time, (b) filtering the difference by means of a delay element after it has been established that the difference has increased, (c) comparing the filters difference and the unfiltered difference, and (d) establishing the presence of an unstable driving states when the comparison shows that a deviation between the filtered difference and the unfiltered difference exceeds a predefined threshold value. The method enables an unstable driving state to be identified even when a driving states variable has an offset error which is of the desired size.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2007Date of Patent: May 1, 2012Assignee: Continetal Teves AG & Co. oHGInventor: Michael Gärtner

Publication number: 20110090508Abstract: A device for interferometric vibration measurement on an object (8), having a radiation source (1) for generating an original beam, a first beam splitter for dividing the original beam into a measuring beam and a reference beam (4, 5), a detector (10) and a focusing device (9). The device is implemented in such a way that the measuring beam at least partly reflected by the object and the reference beam are superimposed on a detection area of the detector, and the focusing device is arranged in the beam path of the measuring beam for focusing the measuring beam onto a measuring point (7) on the object. It is important that, by using the device, a measuring beam having a wavelength greater than 1100 nm can be generated and that the device additionally has an image unit (12) for two-dimensional imaging of at least a sub-region of the object surrounding the measuring point.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2010Publication date: April 21, 2011Applicant: POLYTEC GMBHInventors: Christian Rembe, Alexander Drabenstedt, Michael Gartner, Mike Herberich, Andreas Leonhardt

Patent number: 7797294Abstract: Disclosed is a data processing system implemented method, a data processing system and an article of manufacture for testing accessibility of a data processing system program according to accessibility criteria. The data processing system program includes a plurality of objects, at least one object of the plurality of objects usable as a user interface between the data processing system program and a user. The data processing system implemented method includes identifying the at least one object of the data processing system program pertaining to the user interface, determining if the identified at least one object satisfies the accessibility criteria by examining an accessibility description for the identified at least one object, and producing an indication that the identified at least one object does not satisfy the accessibility criteria if the identified object does not contain an accessibility description.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2004Date of Patent: September 14, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Jason Michael Gartner, Mark Maurice Mezofenyi
