    Abstract: An outside-door-handle system is configured to be attached to a door of a passenger motor vehicle. The outside-door-handle system includes a holder, a lock cylinder, and a Bowden cable. The holder is configured to be fastened to the door. The lock cylinder is operatively connected to the holder. The Bowden cable has a core, and is operatively connected at one end thereof to the lock cylinder and at the other end thereof to a door lock situated in the door. At a portion that is adjacent to the lock cylinder, the core of the Bowden cable is operatively connected to a toothed rack which is operatively connected to the lock cylinder.
