  • Patent number: 10767198
Abstract: A method for producing branched aldehydes is proposed, the method comprising the following steps: (a) providing a culture of one or more fungi of the genus Conidiobolus and producing biomass containing branched carboxylic acids in free and/or bound form; (b) extracting the biomass from step (a) to produce a first intermediate containing free and/or bound carboxylic acids; (c) optionally chemically, enzymatically or microbially hydrolyzing the bound carboxylic acids from the first intermediate; (d) treating the first intermediate with a reducing agent of a chemical nature to convert the free and/or bound carboxylic acids into the corresponding alcohols and optionally separating one or more alcohols from interfering by-products and producing the chemically produced second intermediate containing these alcohols as a mixture or in enriched form; (e) treating the first intermediate with a reducing agent of a biological nature to convert the free and/or bound carboxylic acids into the corresponding aldehydes havin

  • Patent number: 10540252
Abstract: A computer system may identify a source code for a program. The source code may include one or more instructions. The computer system may then receive a selection of two or more assessment metrics for evaluating the source code. The computer system may then generate an assessment score for each instruction in the source code based on the two or more assessment metrics. The computer system may then provide an assessment score indicator to for each instruction in the source code.

  • Publication number: 20190299040
Abstract: A system for mixing fire-suppressant gel with water on board an aircraft includes a gel reservoir mounted in the aircraft, a pump for injecting gel into a flow of water into an aircraft-mounted payload tank, and a control system for controlling gel-water mix ratios. The control system monitors water volume flowing into the water tank, and regulates the gel pump to inject gel in appropriate amounts to produce gel-water emulsions having precise gel-water ratios. Settings for the control system are set by the pilot before water flow water is initiated. Once the aircraft is in flight, the gel-water mixing process is automatically controlled through a trigger on the pilot's control stick. The aircraft may be a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft adapted to load water from a lake or other source while in flight, or a fixed-wing aircraft adapted to load water on land from a pressurized water source.

  • Publication number: 20020172346
Abstract: For performing call forwarding from terminal stations of a dependent switch which is configured as second switch connected at the exchange (e.g. from extensions of a private branch exchange PBX), an exchange sets up a call forwarding list in which a call address is in each case allocated to a terminal station code as forwarding destination for one or more terminal stations of the dependent switch. When a connection request relating to a subscriber at a dependent switch of the exchange arrives, the code of the desired terminal station is used for checking whether a call address is allocated to this code in an associated call forwarding list. If this is so, the connection is forwarded to this call address.
