Abstract: Automated migration systems and methods are described for discovering and tracking a migration of legacy networked resources within a computer network environment. A network resource discovery application (app) implemented on a migration server executes, during an active migration session, a predefined migration query selected from one or more predefined migration queries customized based on corresponding migration types. The predefined migration query discovers a set of network dependencies of a legacy networked resource, corresponding to a migration type, and accessible on a computer network comprising a plurality of online network resources.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing adaptive bitrate streaming using alternative streams of protected content in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described. One embodiment of the invention includes a processor, and memory containing a client application. In addition, the client application configures the processor to: request a top level index file identifying a plurality of alternative streams of protected content, where each of the alternative streams of protected content are encrypted using common cryptographic information; obtain the common cryptographic information; request portions of content from at least the plurality of alternative streams of protected content; access the protected content using the common cryptographic information; and playback the content.

Abstract: In one embodiment, techniques include a method that includes determining, based at least on historical usage information of a tracking device and tracking device diagnostic information, a length of time the tracking device can continue to operate. The method includes determining that the length of time does not satisfy a first power condition out of one or more power conditions. The method includes determining reconfiguration instructions for the tracking device based at least on the historical usage information, tracking device diagnostic information, and projected usage information of the tracking device. The reconfiguration instructions are selected to cause the tracking device to satisfy the one or more power conditions. The method includes storing the reconfiguration instructions for the tracking device in a database in association with a flag indicating that pending reconfiguration instructions are available for the tracking device.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage medium, for processing parts using machine tool workstations. The machine tool workstations are grouped into multiple groups, where each group includes workstations of the same type. For each of the multiple groups, data representing parts to be processed by the type of workstations included in the group are transmitted to a combinatorial optimization problem solver. Data representing a sequence of ordered subsets of the multiple parts that produce a reduced setup time for the workstations in the group are received from the solver. An average delay time associated with the generated sequence of ordered subsets of the collection of parts is computed. If the average delay time is less than the predetermined threshold, parts are released according to the generated sequence of ordered subsets of the collection of parts to the group for processing.

The processor is configured to automatically detect and authorize the avatar to enter and interact with each virtual sub-lounge of the virtual lounge. The processor is configured to conduct multiple interactions between the avatar and the virtual sub-lounges. The processor is further configured to generate corresponding interaction datasets and interaction tokens for the avatar. The processor is further configured to generate a user interaction session dataset for the avatar based on the interaction datasets and interaction tokens.

Abstract: A soft-switching Phase-Shift Full-Bridge (PSFB) converter system may include a transformer comprising a primary side and a secondary side. Phase-leading circuitry and phase-lagging circuitry may be located on the primary side of the transformer. The phase leading a phase lagging circuitry may include one or more bridge switches. The system may further include clamping circuitry coupled to the secondary side of the transformer. The clamping circuitry configurable to, when in an active clamping mode, short the secondary side of the transformer. An inductance may be included on the primary side of the transformer to collect and store energy from an input source when the secondary side of the transformer is shorted. The energy stored in the inductance may be used to enable soft-switching of the bridge switches in the phase-lagging circuitry during a dead time or a circulating time of the bridge switches in the phase-leading circuitry.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, modification of concrete within a pumping line is achieved with new designs of inline static mixers allowing passage of concrete material that is primarily of solids in the form of suspended minerals, cement and aggregates, and without benefit of the flow of additional fluid, such as the airflow driving a shotcrete process. According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, modification within a concrete pumping line is essential where unmodified concrete is necessary for purposes of batching or pumping, such as where the modification creates a very rapid set or an extreme thickening. According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, modification, unmodified concrete can be delivered to the point of inline modification at the end of a pumping line, where highly reactive components can then be intermixed.

Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes detecting actions taken by users in a computer-implemented matching system and, for each of the detected actions, storing data indicative of the detected action. The method further includes filtering the stored data in accordance with at least one filter selected by an administrator of the computer-implemented matching system and creating a user action log from the filtered stored data. The user action log includes all of the stored data that matches the selected at least one filter. The at least one filter may include log start time, log end time, type of action, user ID, target user ID, and/or site type. The detected action may include viewing another user's profile, changing the user's own profile, sending a message to another user via the computer-implemented matching system, and/or performing a matching search using the computer-implemented matching system.

Abstract: A method for validating an access request with respect to an application is provided. The method includes: receiving an access request from a user with respect to an application; retrieving, from a memory, group identification information that relates to at least one group to which the user belongs; retrieving, from the memory, scope information that indicates qualifications and/or characteristics of a relationship between the user and the at least one group; and generating a token that notifies the application of the group identification information and the scope information, and is usable by the application for validating the access request. The method may be implemented in an Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) environment.
