    Abstract: According to some aspects, there is provided a control system for controlling extraction of landfill gas from a landfill via a gas extraction system, the control system comprising: a valve configured to control flow rate of landfill gas extracted from the landfill; and at least one controller configured to: determine, using a target change in flow rate through the valve and a degree to which the valve is open at the time of the determining, an adjustment to apply to the valve, the adjustment indicative of a determined degree to which to open or close the valve in order to achieve the target change in flow rate of landfill gas through the valve; and open or close the valve by the determined degree.
