  • Publication number: 20170250823
Abstract: The present Dynamic Software Defined Networking (DSDN) systems and methods provide secure and isolated subnetworks within a larger network wherein each subnetwork may be formed with varied policies and communication restrictions based on at least device type, device grouping, and risk level. The present DSDN system and method may also be applied to form a network, with or without subnetworks, of devices that are spatially separated, thereby reducing the attack surface of the DSDN formed network.

  • Publication number: 20170223280
Abstract: An arrangement of cameras and method for televising a baseball game includes first and second cameras positioned equidistant from home plate and first and third bases, the camera height above the playing field and the camera distance from the first and third baselines being chosen so that a ray to each camera, from an origin at the midpoint between the bases opposite the baseball diamond from that camera, rises at between 3.7 degrees and 7.9 degrees above horizontal. Alternatively, the ray rises at between 3.7 degrees and 6.1 degrees above horizontal. Distance, height, or both in combination are manipulated, within the structural constraints of the venue, to achieve this angle. The first or second camera is selected when a ball is hit. Third and subsequent cameras are subsequently selected, and the first and second camera may be re-framed and subsequently re-selected, in accordance with predetermined rules.

  • Patent number: 9712984
Abstract: A system for exchanging messages between a business user and a mobile device, and methods for making and using the same. The system may include a business server, an application programming interface (“API”) and/or an SMS database. The business server may be configured to exchange messages with the business user and to obtain a public identifier for the business user to enable duplex message exchange between the business user and the mobile device by either retrieving the public identifier or associating the business user with the mobile device and a public identifier. The business user may be unambiguously determined according to the public identifier or a combination of the mobile device and the public identifier, which may enable the mobile device to direct a reply message to the business user that may be the sender of a direct message.

  • Patent number: 9648988
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a bathing vessel includes forming a base by contacting an incompletely cured polyurethane material with a wood-containing composite panel. The polyurethane material is then cured while in contact with the wood-containing composite panel to chemically bond the polyurethane material with the panel. At least one wall is then attached to extend vertically from the base. The wall is a multi-layer structure of layers of acrylic material, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene material and the polyurethane material.

  • Patent number: 9639416
Abstract: A structure for a parallel cyclic redundancy check (CRC) structure in which the number of cycles in the loopback can be arbitrarily extended is provided. The parallel CRC structure includes a reweighting module in the feedback loop that is pipelined into multiple stages. The parallel CRC structure also includes multiple feed forward reweighting modules that correspond to the multiple pipeline stages in the feedback loop. The reweighting module in the feedback loop accumulates and reweights the contribution of all symbols in the message, while the N reweighting modules in the N parallel feed-forward paths provide the contributions of the symbols that are “in-flight” within the feedback loop to the final CRC checksum.

  • Patent number: 9551415
Abstract: Readings of multiple sensors are utilized to estimate transmission output, which is used as a feedback signal to control the torque capacity of a transmission clutch. Some sensor readings, such as transmission output speed, are used to compute an input vector. Then, a current state vector is computed as a linear function of the previous state vector and the input vector. One of the values in the state vector is shaft twist, which is proportional to transmission output torque. Various other sensor readings, including wheel speed, are used to correct for noise. Wheel speed signals are received with a delay. To accommodate this delay, the state vector is expanded to include estimates of wheel speed at various past points in time. An accelerometer reading is used at very low speeds at which the wheel speed sensor and transmission output speed sensor are unreliable.
