  • Patent number: 8239963
Abstract: A method of protecting a password from unauthorized access and a data processing unit are provided. An embodiment of the method of protecting a password from unauthorized access comprises storing data representing at least a portion of a password in a memory, assigning the data to at least one of a plurality of instructions, storing the plurality of instructions as processor executable code in the memory, and preventing read-out of the processor executable code as data from the memory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 26, 2007
Date of Patent: August 7, 2012
    Assignee: Intel Mobile Communications GmbH
Inventors: David Jennings, John Barstow, Patrik Eder, Michael Goedecke, Richard Knight
  • Patent number: 7720856
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, related to cross-language searching. Input characterizing search criteria in a first language may be received and a search may be performed on a database having records in a second language. The search may be performed on the database with synonyms of the search criteria that are in the second language. A user may be able to select or edit search criteria in the second language from suggested search criteria. Context information may be used to find search criteria in the second language or results that may be more relevant. The results may be translated for a user to the first language.

    Assignee: SAP AG
    Inventors: Michael Goedecke, Ewa Goslawska-Goedecke
  • Patent number: 7631153
Abstract: An apparatus for data transmission between memories has a memory controller as well as a memory protocol controller. In one embodiment, a first memory controller is operatively connected to a first memory, and a memory protocol controller is operatively connected between the first memory controller and a second memory, wherein the first memory is a volatile memory and the second memory is a nonvolatile memory. The volatile memory includes a command list containing a command sequence for the memory protocol controller. The memory protocol controller may be configured to produce at least one of an error detection code and an error correction code when an error condition occurs.

  • Publication number: 20080077759
Abstract: A memory control apparatus in which, in the case of a sequence of requests for a sequence of accesses from an access unit to result in execution of an operation in the memory, the access unit is granted right to use the memory control apparatus to carry out the sequence of accesses and every other access unit is denied right to use the memory control apparatus to access the memory until all of the accesses in the sequence of accesses have been carried out.
